I think smoking should definitely be banned. It has absolutely no positive effects on the human body other than filling a useless addiction. It causes harm to babies if the mother smokes, could possibly cause lung cancer to anyone standing near a smoker(passive smoking), and costs more than the average family spends on bread for a week. Why would any human being actually think there is anything "COOL" about this filthy habit. Ban it.

Personally I think it could be a good idea for everyone, but although I feel this way, I still think it may be wrong to take a right like that away. I smoked for 7 years, and quit 2 years ago. In some ways I feel like it is taking away part of the people's freedom. I think it is a healthier choice, but what is healthy for anyone anymore? Maybe a partial ban would be a better alternative. I just don't think they should go around taking this choice away from business owners who have every right to allow things like this in their establishments. Since I am no longer a smoker I do not want people to smoke around me. I would do anything to stay away. I am not going to say where I think people should and should not smoke, I would just choose not to come near it. I am sorry that I am not much help, as I am still a bit neutral to the subject.

I am not a smoker but I can tolerate when people smoke around me. The truth is that there is no proof that second hand smoke kills, so although breathing in the smoke is an inconvienence to people, it won't give them cancer. But because I don't think smoking should be done around children, I think partial. Otherwise, I think smoking is a normally accepted way for people to reduce stress and relax, even if it is harmful to their health, smoking has been around for hundreds of years and I really have no problem with it.

Funny you should ask. as a reformed smoker who knows that if i hadn't quit when I did I most likely would be dead.
BUT I believe that people should have the right to smoke if they want to. The right of those who choose not to
smoke should not be impinged upon either, with that said smoking should only be allowed in an environment of other smokers or those who choose to place themselves at risk. I hope this helps your project. I must tell you that this

past year I assisted in changing legislation in my state to allow smoking in private members only clubs. Go figure.

Total Ban, but maybe partial to those who still want to kill themselves, or having trouble quit. Make it no smoking in public, because no one wants to die because of someone else's smoking...

a ban wherever other people are made to breathe the poison, no bans anywhere else, if you have kids, it should be illegal to smoke while your kids are home. if you have no kids, close all the windows and smoke yourself to death, if that's your wish.
