Magick is prayer but with tools. And (I can't speak for every Pagan on Earth, but this applies to many) we don't see it as asking God for help. It's us asking God to help us help OURSELVES. I hope that makes sense to you. Blessed be.

Sort of. There are a lot of similarities between the rituals of both religions (and a lot of components that have jumped from one to the other and back).
Wiccans do pray, as well as practice magic. By "pray" I mean "I have private conversations with my Deities, in which I sometimes ask them for help or guidance or assistance."
When I say "magic" I mean more of "a dedicated ritual in which I focus my will in an attempt to bring about change" - it may or may not include a petition to the Gods, though usually it does, at least in Wicca.
I don't know if any of this makes any sense, I'm probably not wording it very well.

No, because practicing in magic doing something with the intent to have a certain outcome where as praying is doing something hoping for a particular outcome, both require a lot of belief though.

Magic is a form of witchcraft, and in the bible it says in
LEVITICUS 19:31
31) Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the Lord your God.
No magic and praying is not the same. I pray for you. Amen
I do not cast spells.

on the surface yes. But technically... no. Christians pray to either one GOD or to him through supplicants ( saints and patron angels). Wiccans... call on themselves, and the powers around them to shape reality they take an active part... prayer is much more passive.

Yes, they are. Practicing magic(k) is just ritual prayer. Just getting on your knees and putting your hands together puts you in a different state of mind. That is exactly what magic is about.

Yeah, they've very much the same thing; they're religious rituals. Religious rituals, regardless of the form they come in, all have pretty much the same purpose; essentially, they're comforting to the people who participate in them.

they ARE EXACTLY the same thing. they are both a movement of thought/energy and they both work because "it is done unto you as you believe." this how the nature of God/the universe. i'm sure many christians will disagree, but we have the right to ignore them.

It is, a ritual act meant to elicit a response from powers out side your own.
