I am making a slide show and CD for an 8 year old boy's funeral. He had AML Lukimia and survived months longer than the Dr's gave him. I am looking for something sweet like "Some where out there"

"Radios in Heaven," by Plain White T's. It's sung by one left behind. Maybe "Into the West," by Annie Lennox, from the LOTR soundtrack. Others- "Hey Jude," the Beatles. "If We Hold On Together," by Diana Ross. Makes me cry though. "My Father's Eyes", Eric Clapton- it's about his son. "My Hero Is You," Hayden Panettiere, from the Tiger Cruise soundtrack. "In My Arms Again," Michael W. Smith- it was originally written for Titanic.
Hope some of those help.

I like that song "We had Joy, We had Fun, We had seasons in the sun, but the hills that were climbed were just seasons out of time!" It's a little sad though. I love ave maria, but that is very sad! I am sorry you are having to plan for this, no one should have to bury an eight year old! Ask the Christians about that one!

Somewhere over the rainbow, or my personal opinion is to play christian children songs because they are so uplifting and bring peace to peoples soul to the point of tears of joy. The parents of that little boy can have comfort to know that the moment the child left he was present in the arms of God where he will be for an eternity. He doesn't have to live in this world and they can cherish the time that God gave them to spend with him. My prayers go out to the parents as they grieve over their loss.

I am sorry to hear this. It doesn't really matter what you play as it will be a sad occassion and any song will come back to remind his parents. When my neice died at 2 months from sids we chose Jeasus loves the little children and although not a sad song it brings the memory back

U dont choose songs to make u cry. Your body will launch thoughts by tears at the same time as that is waiting. in case you choose a music to stimulate thoughts, then possibly u ought to verify with a specialist. U choose to the right thanks to get in contact with your deepest thoughts, rather of creating use of something to stimulate them. A music is a non everlasting restore to an ongoing situation. some human beings merely merely grieve in techniques that others dont understand. merely because u havent cried, dont recommend u arent grieving. you'll launch thoughts in a lot of alternative techniques. some launch in objectives. My brother is an identical way. He seems to attend to his thoughts at the same time as sound asleep and from what I understand, some human beings do this. Ur no longer on my own in all this, yet learning as an instance and educate emotion is something u ought to ought to locate uncomplicated techniques to do and be delicate doing. I dont recognize your concern or how u were taught to attend to thoughts as a guy, yet crying is merely one thanks to launch emotion and frustration. sturdy success to u.

Hey, It's OK to be sad... I kind of like the suggestion by Stephani... It's a sad song but you know what? ...it's OK to be sad... Death is a fact of life and I hope he had lots of fun the brief time he spent here with us. Or else sing La Cucaracha!--see how that's going to work for you! Believe me I am not trying to be insensitive...it's OK to be sad!
