A co-worker likes me. He looks at me whenever he's around. He's kind of shy. He will talk a little but I catch him looking all the time. All the sudden, he WON'T look...like he's avoiding me. What's up with this??

LOL, he was probably trying to watch and look at you without you noticing.........And now he feels that he has been caught....and it has him embarrassed.
If you like the guy and you know that he is shy, why not be the one to make the first move?
Ask him out for a drink or something.

Could be any number of things. He may have met someone else and is dating her and it makes him feel guilty if he talked to you and lead you on. It could be someone told him you were not available, said something bad about him or you talked to another fella and he is jealous. Best thing to do is just stay friendly and talk to him without flirting with him to keep the lines of communications open with him if you are interested in him. Once you get to know him better, you can come right out and ask him, but if you don't know him very well, it is likely to intimidate him and he won't give you a straight answer anyway.

I think he knows that you like him and tried to make you want him more, so if I were you I would do the same thing to him for a few days and see his signal.

it sounds like he likes you, but like you said he is shy. maybe you should go up to him. and start a conversation with him.take it from their.
