My boyfriend speaks English, but his native tongue is French. I don't think his mother likes me because, I do not speak French. She dose not speak English. I want to talk to her, but how? I don’t want to go through my boyfriend to speak to her. Some things should be left between the two with a misunderstanding. If you know what I mean. Can anyone recommend a good web site with an English to French translator? So I can type in what I want to say to her, have it converted to French, to write to her, so she will be able to understand what I am trying to tell her?

Hm, you can visit http://babel.altavista.com or the best way to do it is buy a French learning program for your computer, or just buy a dictionary.

Is your boyfriend the youngest? The oldest? His mom might feel bad seeing her "little boy" grow up! Just a thought! If not, just ignore it for now and try to learn some French, but you don't have to know everything! Just saying something nice might help you! Good luck!

It looks to me, that you have to learn French, go on-line to the French consulat, they most likely have a free course to learn French.
Your boyfriends mother probably does not like you, because to her you don't have any culture.
How come, that after seeng the guy for 7 month, you still don't know how to say bonjour, or merci boucoup.

Could you ask your boyfriend to translate? The online translaters make a LOT of mistakes. If you don't know what you're saying, the mistranslations could be impactful on your relationship with your boyfriend's mom.

You can say bonjour madam, for good morning or good day, bonsoir for afternoon or evening, bonne apres midi for mid day, you have a lot of choices, if you try to say a few words she will laugh and come around, Aurevoir cherrie, tell her je t'adore
