Yes, exactly. We know about God both because He put the knowledge of Himself within us and because His existence and divine attributes are "clearly seen through what has been made so that all men are without excuse." (See Romans 1:19-20)

Because we are not perfect we suffer from mass delusions. Some of us are lucky, but most are just plain crazy. There is no such thing as perfection, it is a man made concept. Any animal can be considered imperfect in the right situation, just like us. Wake up will ya? Perfection is a myth. By the true concept of perfection then we would be able to do anything, need no air move at the speed of light, make money pop out of thin air. How many perfect animals can do that, none that I have seen. What are you smoking?

Dear Friend...quieten the constant earthly chatter around you and look beyond. Look at the intricacy of creation at every level. Understand the nuances of every single step of creation and evolution.
Think about how a caterpillar transforms to a beautiful butterfly in weeks, think about how a single cell multiplies in to billions of cells and organizes correctly like a jigsaw puzzle to form a human being, think about the absolute miracles around you.
Contemplate on all of the above and more. Do you still think we are unperfect? Do you still think Spirituality and Perfect God are ideas?
Arent you here today thinking along these angles because a suble Supreme power gave you the power?
See the writing on the wall my dear friend!

There are two sociological explanations for the belief in a god (or gods):
The first is to explain unknowns. For example, primitive men would explain thunder and lightning as expressions of anger from a deity, perhaps going so far as to devise the persona for a God of Thunder and Lightning.
The second is to assuage the fear of death. We can get over the thought of dying if we have the consolation of eternal paradise. This is also the foundation of morality -- paradise is a reward for virtue, and thus an incentive to behave.

Long time ago when people didn't believe in god, they thought "Why do we have to live? Why don't we just kill ourselves" So some people made up god, so people would have a reason to live and wouldn't kill themselves. so now people think that if they will be good, when they die, they'll go to heaven where everything is going to be perfect and if you would be a bad person, or kill yourself, you would go to hell.
People prooved already that there is no god, but just think about how all the people that believe in god are going to react to it. They are just gonna start do bad thing and earth wouldn't be a good place anymore.

We all have a need, a desire to believe in SOMETHING.
Human nature is to be inquisitive. We look at the sky and wonder "why?" Early humans had trouble believing that "it just happened." Some force had to have had a factor in so many things.
Does God exist? I don't know. For me He does. But that's just what I believe. The best part about is that there is no right or wrong answer. Your relationship to whatever supernatural force you wish to believe in is your choice.

I agree--people get so hung up on the idea of a power greater than themselves. They are just frightened people who's egos are too big. We have an ingrained sense of right and wrong-- the ten commandments are common sense.. If the world abided them, peace and harmony would reign. We were built in his image and for his glory--it's a beautiful, simple thing. Just have to have faith.

So many people believe in their gods (not just "God") because it's easier than trying to figure out the real way things work. This is why there is such a clash between scientests and theists.

People believe what they are taught by their parents. If your parents taught you that the elderly Chinese man who owned the produce market was the one responsible for everything good in the world, you would surely look upon him as a wonder for the ages.
It is all teaching, brain washing, bullying, fear, need to believe in something, etc.

Because it gives many people hope that there is a God who created everything, or that there is life after death. Plus the Bible is written proof of God and Jesus. I'm a Christian, can't ya tell?
