1) I’m not an infidel. I’m not a heathen, & I acknowledge your god may exist.
2) I’m extremely happy thank you, & also Heterosexual, & I’m some how not a cigarette.
3) An entire race of people was almost wiped out buy pork, that why some people (and Religion(s)) don’t eat it.
4) I know how to cook it, and it tastes good to me…
5) There are some places that consider genitals as delicacies… maybe we should hold an internet cultural day where we post recipes and make other peoples recipes at home and enjoy another persons culture once in a while…

In Biblical times, pork was often infested with a parasite that, if eaten by a person, would cause cysts in the muscles, and disable the person, and in time, kill.

Once the Hebrews realized there was a coincidence between eating pork and this disease, they banned pork from their diet.

Of course, these days, very few livestock have these parasites, and if they do, slaughterhouses have inspectors that do not allow the meat to come to market.

I once met a group of young Arab men who had arrived in the airport enroute to their American university experience. Two of the group were explaining to another, whose English was not as good as theirs, that the meal served on the plane was pork. This young man, who was of course Muslim, was so horrified, that he vomited immediately, there in front of God and everybody, He was very shaken, to have sinned in his ignorance.

And there are some people who just don't like pork.

But, being a pork producer, I believe that the meat is healthful and tasty.

Pork goes bad faster than other meats and in the hot climates where the Jews and Muslims lived it was easier to make it a religious law not to eat pork and get sick. The logic was that God could always see if you were eating it so you wouldn't, and therefore didn't get sick.

Did you know that pork and human are supposed to taste the same? They are also omnivores and even have molars like us. Pigs are also smarter than dogs. I think they're wonderful and no one should eat them.
