Labels with respect to sexual orientation as well as gender are more complex than we think. Given the standard definition of homosexuality as same-sex preference, we need to first define the gender of the intersexed/hermaphroditic person. Chromosomes don't tell the whole story; much less does the presence of specific sex organs. If we take the standard definition of homosexuality as our basis and then rely on, let's say, chromosomes for gender identity, if we find that the chromosome pattern is male for a hermaphrodite and the sexual attraction is for females, then we would say the person is a heterosexual. However, I don't know what the chromosome patterns are for hermaphrodites; if they don't follow the male/female patterns then our definition of sexual orientation would need to be modified, otherwise they'd only be 'homosexuals' if they desired other similarly-chromosomed hermaphrodites! Check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intersex for some info on this.

First of all having one, two or no sexual organs does not determine your sexual preference.

Having two different sexual organs means you are a hermaphrodite not a homosexual necessarily
(androgyny) has been around since the beginning of history. Thankfully one gender is always stronger than another, which later in life becomes the dominant gender. (This is the one that society views you like or the way you view yourself) I only know of one case in history
( I have pictures ) of a Chinese man had two penis
( I thought that was great one body two penis )
but I still do not now what he was called.
Again, a hermaphrodite had two different genders.
Because most people are heterosexual than homosexual ... the chances are higher that a hermaphrodite would be heterosexual (Straight)

P.S.: Please do not confuse this with a Transexual
they have one sexual organ ... but were born
with the wrong organ.

No, they are considered a hermaphrodite. In the past, they used to make the child whichever sex they appeared more to be physically. Research shows they usually make more of testosterone or estrogen, so even if they gave the child the wrong sexual orientation they knew internally which they were supposed to be.

You can read a bit on this site: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hermaphrodite

Homosexual means someone sexually is attracted the same sex, while "straight" means someone sexually to the opposite sex. This happens to people who are not hermaphrodites. I would think until a hermaphrodite goes through puberty, it would be hard to know which sex is more predominate in their body and only then could you know if they were homosexual or not.

Yes they could. Because both sets of sex organs will NOT mature all the way. There is always a mature set and an immature set. The mature set determins the physical sex of the person but the soal determins sexual preference....

I wonder if a person w/both sets of organs could have sex with themselves?

That's a brilliant question! I don't know, cause hermaphrodites are both sexes so whether they chose to sleep with men, or they choose to sleep with woman it's the same sex, Maybe the question should be can they be considered anything but homosexual?

it is too bad your parents left this up to you to decide..i guess it would make a difference on which organs are producing the hormones. if your ovaries are making you female and you go for females, then have them removed. and if your male organs are not adequate have them surgically enlarged. but either way i think that if you have both and they are both producing hormones then you should really seek help from a good doctor to determine which way you want to be and have it corrected. do i think it is homosexual, no, but i think it is really a bad situation to be in, in today's society of moral rules and beliefs, and all with the medical technology that we have available. i hope you can find out who you are and what you want out of life with out to much suffering .

Excellent point. Christians always assume gender is black and white. It is not.

Besides hormonal hermaphrodites, you can have children born with XXX chromosomes, XYX chromosomes, etc. (as opposed to the expected XX for women and XY for men on the 23rd chromosome). Here is where the strict Christian "morality" breaksdown.

There is no rational answer than Christians can come up with to address these cases, and as such their "black and white" morality claims fall flat on their face.

They are still one or the other.
Could look more male and be a female in the inside.
That really isn't homosexual just a birth defect.
