im walkin down the street and my sister is dating a blind guy....hes sweet adn everythingg...it doesnt bother any1 ese in my family...but it pisses me off when ppl stare at him point..just cuz he blind odont mean he doesnt have feeling....y r ppl so ****** ignorant????

Reading your question really hurt my head. I don't even have an answer. I wish you would use 'spell check' in the future and also abbreviate a little less. He's blind, so he probably doesn't see them staring and pointing, so if you don't mention it he won't ever know. Just act as if you don't care and don't make a big deal out of it.

they dont know better, they dont have the education to know better. That's the problem with most of sociaty this days. People think that because someone is different they don't deserve to be treated the same way. They see differences as a curse, as something disgusting. They don't understand that they could also be blind, or become blind someday, and that that isnt an impediment for blind people to live a complete and fullfilling life with all the advanatages of any other person, specially with today's technology in this matters. Im sorry if Im writting a novel, but I understand your situation, I have a blind cousin and everytime we go somewhere people stare and point, and even when ppl think "Oh, he's blind he cant see me stare and point" he does notice and know that ppl talk behind his back. He's increadibly humble so he doesn't say anything, and Im sure its the same with ur sisters bf, but they know. And I hope that in the future people will learn that they r ppl just as complete as them, and wont look at them as anything less. But while that doesnt happen all we can do is look down and pretend we dont notice the pointing at staring at the ppl we love and hope that people will get a concience someday.

Cause we are barely out of the time of having "sideshow freaks" in the fairs and circuses. People are just plain ignorant. They are encapsulated in their own world many have no idea what life is about. As some one who is in a wheel chair, many times people go way out of the way to make sure they don't get something from me-(i didn't know spinal deformities were communicable). A blind friend and I were out eating at a nice restaurant, and the waiter asked me what she wanted. Then HE TALKED VERY Loud SO SHE COULD HEAR HIM. To make matters worse, he talked to her like she was a child. Needless to say we never went back there, and he failed to receive a good tip.

Well I guess it's just something new to them, people are ignorant because of how they were brought up and or possibly haven't experienced it so they wouldn't know the feeling.
