I'm a Christian, I study the Bible and go to Church...
I am a Body Piercer and I work in a Tattoo shop.
I have many tattoos and piercings.
There are laws in the old testament that say that you shouldent cut your flesh, but Christians do not follow the old doctrine, they follow what JESUS taught.
Some "Christians" seem to 'pick and choose' which laws they like because its comfortable to them.
As for piercing, Rebecka in the old testament had a nose piercing, I'm sure many women did, as it was typical at the time.
If your truly interested you could open a bible and read it. Or read the link below.
Just because humans judge you it does not mean Jesus does.
Its not just Christians that will Judge you, walk down the street! Judgement is everywhere!
Jesus Christ taught us not to judge and
Christians should be following the teachings of Jesus, not Judging you based on their own personal biases.
Jesus says in Matthew 7:1-2
"Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. "
God created you and he loves you very much. Your tattoos don't 'freak God out'. God looks at you as a creative, unique and beautiful individuial.

I am a Christian and I have a tat. My son has other piercings. I think you are at the wrong Church maybe, find one that accepts you.
Grant it, I got my tat prior to becoming a Christian, and it isn't a cutie tat either. I know in the Bible somewhere it says you should not tattoo yourself, but I had already done this and I don't go around trying to hide it either. It is what it is. I am accepted with my tattoo as you should be.
By the way, I am pretty poor to. I still like me! and so does God

A gross over generalization. I've known many poor Christians, many of whom had tattoos and piercings. There is no contradiction there, Jesus never mentioned tattoos, piercings, gays, or birth control, he did specifically forbid public prayer and preached continually against the love of wealth. There is only some much to go around, after all, and for one person to have more another must have less. It takes thousands of people on welfare to support one Donald Trump. Jesus knew this and practiced it, along with love and acceptance of other people, trying to set an example for everyone. There IS such a thing as enough, and when those who claim to be his followers figure that out the world will become a better place.

Christians love poor people, particularly evangelical ministers who prey upon the poor by demanding ten percent and additional offerings when the preacher's Benz needs a tuneup.
It's not just any tat that they hate, its the one that goes from your wrist to your shoulder that says, "Dear Jesus, please protect me from your fans."
Oh, by the way, you are good enough. Jesus liked people like the ones that have tats and piercings. They are a lot more interesting than the plain vanilla fundamentalists who believe that the Bible is literal and can't read well enough to understand it and need an interpreter in a pulpit with a collection basket.
Dear Jesus what will they think of next.

A true follower of Jesus Christ would not be concerned with the outward appearence of a person, their concern would be about them as a person. I have a number of tats and often ware short sleve shirts to church, when someone asks about them I simply respond, "they belong to the guy that I use to be". Jesus changed my life, I went from heathen to believer so my outside look and my financial status are not important. The important thing is that I'm saved by the grace of God.

Well, I'm Christian and I don't hate anyone who are poor, with tattoos or piercings, or whaterver. A true Christian wouldn't judge someone just by their appearence. Before my family from both my parents sides came to America, they were very poor, but now we're doing pretty good. I actually have family who have tatoos and piercing, too, and they're Christians. Just ignore those hypocrites.

A lot of hard core Christians are extreme right wingers. Conservatives (republicans) are all for corporations, not the poor. How many right wingers have tattoos (minus the people that were in the military, for some reason that ok...) or piercings?
They are afraid of what they don't know (or have & don't understand).

i'm sorry you found the church you went to...we have people in our church with tats and piercings...and as for poor people, we DO love them...there are plenty of poor people in our church...i hope you can find a church that has enough spiritual maturity and Christian love to accept you for who you are, not what you appear to be on the outside and can look at you and see you as God sees you, one of His children whom He dearly loves...

First of all, I'm a Christian and I don't hate anyone....I mean, havinf piercings and tats don't make you a BAD person....it's just that in the bible it says that you should treat your body like a temple and NOT mark it up....but it doesn't mean that GOD doesn't love you...you should keep on going to church and not pay attention to ignorant ppl who call themselves so-called "Chrisitans"...Take CArE!!! God bless

Most christians are comfortable where they're at in their relationship with Christ and do not mature spiritually enough to love like Christ commanded. (I am a christian and this is my observation of the church I attended)
