if you are going to be transporting the cake it best to put it in a cake box that away it wont get ruined, but if its for your home its best to keep it in the fridge that away the whipped cream icing wont melt and make a mess and the cake wont get so mushy. Hopefully this helps

In a box with a lid, or storage container. It can be frozen for a year if tightly sealed and still be wonderfully delicious when thawed in the refrigerator.
