Heck No. If I had $1000 I would certainly keep better track of it. I would however return the wallet. It is alot easier to get back the $1000 than to try to get a new drivers license and other important info. Damn DMV.

over 30 yrs ago I lost my purse .someone returned it with the money in it . I had only 40.00 but it was my last 40.00 .I was in college and could not have finished the term if I did not get my purse back. i had no money and would have had to go for waitress work so i could eat and survive that last week when I needed to be in school. Never know the stress a person would be under to lose the purse in the first place and then compound it by not returning it.

Yes, karma would get me if I didn't. I would ask for a reward though, he was stupid enough to lose it, so he should be grateful enough to give back. I would ask if it was not offered for that much money. If he refused, I would prank a few times with something, like sending a playboy subscription to his office from the business card address I copied from the business card he had in his wallet before I gave it back...

Yes, Just saw in the news where a homeless guy was looking in the garbage for some food, found 21 thousand dollars worth of Savings bonds, brought it to the shelter- they found out whose it was , returned it and the FU*****g people only gave this poor, generous man $100.00- s'up with that? I couldn't be-lieve it! So many other people saw it on the news, and sent in money to this guy. The people who only gave him 100 dollars should be SO embarrassed. Un-be-lievalbe!!!!!

I'd return the wallet, but the cash is mine. If you're stupid enough to lose your wallet with that much flow inside, then you deserve to be robbed. Next time you'll take care of your stuff and will be vigilant in trying to protect it.

yes, if the owners adress is inside, then definately I would first attemt to contact them.. If i couldn't find the man after actively searching for a month or so, then i'd pay myself $1,000 dollars for all my efforts! I'd pat myself on the back and say "good work" If I still felt guilty, I'd spend some of it on food and donate it to a local homeless shelter and give some to salvation army.. then keep the rest..

Who in their right mind would return the money inside??? I would most certainly return the wallet with the ID and other essientials in it... but that money is MINE!!!!! Who's to say that "I" took it? I could've found the wallet WITHOUT money in it... who else would know but me? Come on... that's easy... and for all the people that SAY they wouldn't take the money... they're LYING!!!! Free money is just that... FREE MONEY!! Sucks that someone lost it... but WAY better that I found it!!!

I gotta be honest, in this day and time it would be hard. But ya know what, I have also lost my wallet and it wasn't the money that hurt me, half as much as losing pictures I could not replace. Also the having to shut down accounts and get all my ID back. So to answer your question, as much as it would kill me to do so: I WOULD HAVE TO GIVE IT BACK.

Yes I would because I am a considerate and honest person. I once saw a woman drop a $100 dollar bill on the ground and didn't even notice. I easily could have picked it up and walked away with it but I would have felt guilty, known I didn't earn it and known it was the wrong thing to do. I picked it up and handed to her and she gave me a dollar as my reward.

Yes. I'd like to think if I lost my purse/wallet with that much money in it, someone honest would find it and return it to me. Then again, I wish I had that kind of money! If I did have it, I'd never be stupid enough to carry it all with me.
