If you're still doing the same amount of exercise you've been doing all along -- and at the same intensity -- then it's time to step up your routine a bit. A great way to do this is to use interval training -- this means you work out at your usual level, but insert bursts of higher intensity work into your routine. For example, if you have been walking briskly for 30 minutes, try walking for five minutes, then jogging for 2 minutes, then walking for five, jogging for 2, etc. Eventually, try to do five of each, then start cutting back on the walking time and increasing the jogging time.

You should also be sure to include strength training, as building more muscle mass means you'll be burning more calories even when you are sitting still.

You can also try cutting back by 100-200 calories a day to help speed things along a bit more.

Congratulations on your weight loss! Awesome!

Two things.. the thinner you get, the more you have to cut your caloric intake to continue to lose. Cruel irony.
You might have hit a plateau and that can take days, sometimes weeks to break through. Assuming that you would continue to lose if you stayed on the 2000 calories, and you hit the old set point, then you have to be persistent and continue with your routine.. it's just a matter of time until you win over your body. It's really important now that you don't throw in the towel. Most people give up at this point because they're not seing results and that's when they gain their old weight back and then some. So brace yourself and stick with the program.

I have that same question as yours before and I have my answers now. I have lost 90lbs and still want to loose additional 20 pounds. First i have to congratulate you too for burning those calories, but i guess it also true that the burning calories would not be that easy from the day your start your diet and exercise than now you've lost 40lbs. I just want to share to that "PATIENCE" my friend would to a lot. Just continue your routine diligently and i asure you results will come accordingly. Second, in terms of beverages or fluid in take try to substitute water from all other beverages. Well if you are doing that now, try drinking warm water regularly instead of drinking cold water. I don't have any scientific basis for that, but i have tried it and have results. It will also help you to cut those inches on your waist line. Third, Calorie Counting of 2000 calories per day would do too as you have said, now try to limit your choice of food in doing the 2000 calorie diet... example instead of having a meat/ pork to include on your diet... try about fish or chicken instead and others alike. Fourth. For Exercise routine, doing Aerobic and Anaerobic Exercise in your daily work-out do help. I just want to share what i did, As for me i have to satisfy some stages. i begin with endurance, then speed then strength. Endurance try to prolong the time you exercise like if you are doing a 30mins work-out how about making it 45-60mins. Speed A gradual change would do like i started walking, brisk walking, jogging, running. I have a read a previous answer here about 5 mins. walking then 2 mins jogging then 5 mins. walking and so on... i think thats a good example. Strength. do some weight lifting. and if your doing it now. Try to change on counts and on repeatition on lifting. Fifth. If you are very active at work and i guess time constraints are holding you back.well Time Management and proper allocation of work is needed and only you can say and do that. I guess some of your leisure time will be sacrifice but then again think again that you have all the time in world to do them by the time you are in good shape. Okidoki! Lastly... if you are really decided on a healthy liftestyle then you are on to a complete change of your life and that is to goodness there is no stopping or deadline it is a continuous process and maintenance as for me i'm on that struggle too. Well i guess i have a said so much. I'm sorry hahaha.

Congratulations.

Do you really need to loose more weight.

You have reach a balance point.

To loose more weight you will need to drop the calories in-take to say 1800. You will also need to exercise 5 time a day. you will need to maintain that as life style change.

One pound of body fat is approximately 3600 calories. This means if every thing staying the same (i.e.your metabolism stays same) in one wk time you will be taking in 200x7=1400 calories less, additional day of exercise will wake up the system. combine effect will be approximately 1/2 Lbs weight loss per wk. Will take another 40 Wks.

If you are not drinking approximately one gallon of water( total liquid most of it water) per day, you will need to do that too.

To keep this level steady you will need to maintain this life style change.

Good luck.

Get rid of the carbs. Start walking and running everyday. Drink lots of water. Stay away from things that are high in fats. No candy, cake, no regular ice cream, no pies,.
In the frozen section of the store you will find weight watcher meals, also ice cream that is good for dieters, Look in bread section for Rye or wheat bread. If you have a big Lot store they carry the bread as well .
Good luck.
