Since we are all sinners - and I agree that we are - we should think of ourselves as unfinished children of God trying to work our way home.

First of all...we are not all sinners. The idea of original sin was created by Augustine. How can we be born sinners? And I imagine you will tell me all the biblical passages that "prove" we are born with sin. But, I tell you this, we are born innocent, with pure intention. Why would God create flawed beings only to worship him? What sort of God does this? The notion that we are born such horrible sinners we can not even begin to bend our minds nor our spirits around it is completely outrageous. We are divine sparks of "God" and that which is beyond "God". We are born innocent and completely free. We put the cage around our lives and limit our own existence. I believe we are here to experience, and that "God" doesn't really have a view on what we do or don't do. We are "Gods" finger tips. So, the idea that i am so bad and sinful that I can't understand it is really for me a blasphemy of the worst kind. I think of myself and others as something divine and beautiful. We are truly special creatures with wonderful possibilities. I do not believe in blind obedience to anything..and I think God likes that about me. I don't buy the "box" of the idea of a man's sinful nature. If we are so bad..there is no way we could manage to do anything "good" in the world. I think of human kind as wonderful beings of possibilities, complicated, intense, and free. We just choose to cage ourselves.

What truly is a sin? Is a sin something that hurts others or hurts our selves. If this is true then there is no way to even live with out being a sinner. Christians sin just by telling other that they will go to hell if they do not take Jesus as their savior. Do you think that saying something like that to someone is nice, what if this is not their belief? It is hurtful, and in being that a sin. In you zeal to help you sin. Sin is apart of life, dead men don't sin.

All of the statements about how we are "unworthy" come from man. Even Jesus embraced sinners. In Gods eyes we are all His perfect creation. We will pay for our sins when we die as we review our lives by His side and have to feel what we made others feel but greatly magnified. I will never believe that the loving God I know wants us to walk around this earth constantly feeling unworthy and proclaiming ourselves as such. He is our loving Father. Would you want YOUR children to feel this way?

It's sad to hear someone describe them self as a "sinner". You are so much more than that with a potential that you obviously do not see right now.

I suggest that you find a form of meditation that you are comfortable with and set some time aside each day to practice. As you learn to clear away the clutter in your mind and approach each day with mindfulness, "Who you are" will become clearer to you.

Many blessings on your journey.

You can see yourself for who you are by taking a good long look at yourself and your actions. You have to develop precognitive skills, and ask a few people how they see you. And think of yourself for what you are. Don't lie to yourself, just be honest. And the parts you don't like about yourself are fixable, if you are dedicated enough. All humans make mistakes and none are perfect. It's nothing to be ashamed of. Blessed be.

Start a journal, write every thought, every question, and every action you take in life, Keep it only to your self and examine the person you see in what you read. if you do not like this person you see, start on your knees in prayer and ask God to mold you into his perfect will. You are after all his vessel and he loves you no matter what, He calls you to him and asks you to trust his will. The experience in becoming a child of God, Born again in his glorious will words can not describe it is awsome. God Bless you

I am not sure why we should judge ourselves. We are only as bad as we think, but we can climb that ladder, one rung at a time in the meantime. For some reason the Jacob's Ladder thing has been on my mind a lot lately?

What is sin? Never heard of it. Does this identify who you truly are? Since I haven't heard of that sin thing, it is not a part of who I am.
We should think of ourselves as friends of others and they will identify us. It is good to have lots of friends.
