I mean, seriously.... it seems like 99% of what gets posted on this board are questions about what powers an imaginary creation has. PEOPLE, God/Jesus/whatever can have/be/do whatever - you - people - want... because you invented him!

? do you know what a fallacy is? its an error in reasoning. for example, basing an argument off of something that isnt true or cant be proven.

and so i want to ask you how you know all of this? i invented God? the notion of God has been around for a looong time. long before you or i was born. and so the truth is you dont have any idea at all of where the notion of God came from.

...and i think God probably has just about any "power" that he wants to. just because someone gives a bad witness does not mean that God is bad or not real.

That's one of the arguments against the bible, anyway. I am a spiritualist agnostic, so I don't take sides in the debate over whether God exists or not.

One thing I will say is that the Bible- assuming it really contans the teachings of God- wasn't actually written until a few centuries after Jesus' death, so in that period of time, people freely could add and subtract whatever they wanted from the original teachings. Perhaps during this window some people decided homosexuality should be a sin...

Also, when the bible was being written, a lot of thestories and documents regarding the teachings of God and Jesus were purposefully left out. Why? No one can say for sure.

But even as a person who is somewhat spiritual myself, I can't help but look at modern day religion and laugh hysterically. All honesty.

The greatest cricketer of modern era, Sachin also started on 16 but it took him a while to deal in hundreds right? But a 16 year older playing his 2nd international match against the world champions , scoring a 100 off 37? That is so hard to believe! He should be 19 or 20!

Yes. There's nothing to debate and much to get a hold of. One thing is to know about the power of God and the gifts of the Holy Spirit and another very different is to walk on that power, I believe a Christian that's experiencing that power in his life for and through him wouldn't be wasting time debating about it.
On the other hand if you are talking about the attributes, ability and character of God being explained to non theists, it should be addressed or focused in His Love, goodness, mercy, grace and forgiveness other than that it's a waste of both's time.

Nobody invented God...how do you think you got here? God doesn't do what we want him to do. We do what HE wants us to do and we PRAY when we want God to DO SOMETHING in our lives...

Be Blessed.
