and everyone else who has these visions are crazy and heretical. joan of arc claimed visions- joseph smith (founder of the mormons) had visions. mohammed had saw and spoke to god- but are these peoples experiences any less valid? are christians being naive and selfish when it comes to god? if jesus was around today- he would be hated and critized for his beliefs and would be considered crazy (not to mention he would be the biggest ANTI-CHRISTIAN ever!!)

There are plenty of people who think they talk to God -- Jim Jones, David Koresh, Faith Popcorn, the guy who thought there was a spaceship behind Haley's Comet...

Let's realize for a moment that EVERY religion believes it's the right one - surely Islam thinks so! They feel the Gospels and the Torah have been modified, and no longer reflect the true words of God, yet the Qur'an specifically REQUIRES Muslims to believe in those texts! Mohammed's solution was to say that God told him they were no longer correct. Joseph Smith did much the same thing... it's the only way to create a new religion in this world -- you must invalidate the prior ones in order to gain a following, and usually that following comes from people who are dissatisfied with their existing religion. I can't think of a case where a "true believer" in ANY religion was swayed to convert to another (possible exception, Saul becoming Paul). It's the people on the fringe who make up the fertile ground for a new religion, which is simply another way of thinking about the same problem.

There is no reason to assert that Christians are unique in this... and since there is no way to validate ANY of these visions, it's one of the reasons I've chosen to be an agnostic.

Christ would be an anti-Christian???? that's, as ridiculous statements go, WAY up on the old scoreboard...now, to get to the rest of your post...Christ IS hated and criticized for his beliefs...no 'would be' about it...if you've been on this site for any length of time, that would be readily apparent...as for what the old testament said that the Messiah would do, He did all of it...He did rebuild the temple-He was speaking about His physical self...and He did lead; however, He was rejected by a lot of the Jews...Christ did not force anyone to follow Him-that is a decision that people have had to freely make for themselves...as far as other people who claimed visions-whether they did or not, only they and God know for sure...

Who told you that lie!...your statement is a False prophet statement, because according to the believers Bible it says: "FOREVER IS THE WORD OF GOD SETTLED IN HEAVEN" (Psalms 119: 89)......HE'S GOD, And HE'S Not Changing For You Or No One Else!..... "JESUS Is The Same Yesterday, Today, And Forever" (Hebrews 13: 8).......GOD IS GOD!...NOT YOU!...if you believe that people who know GOD are as you say (crazy & heretical), then find another forum that believes the same way you believe!.....That's your heathenistic opinion & view!......Your opinions & views will not change the beliefs in those who love & serve GOD!........Your nasty statement you made about the believers Lord & Saviour being Anti-Christian, is Bias, ignorant, disrespectful, rude, and insulting to believers!.....You atheists GOD HATERS Always Choose These Religious/Spiritual Forums To Try To Degrade Others Beliefs!.....You athiests need to get Delivered from your HATE Towards Christian Believers And Toward GOD!....

Can anyone prove to me in the Bible that visions were given by Moses? Jesus, yes. The Holy Spirit, yes. God, definitely.

Not Moses. Nowhere in Scripture is that supported.

I find it offensive when people claim "naive and selfish" without fully understanding and acknowledging the possibility of visions. Joel 2:18 speaks of it directly.
Not speaking to you directly:

A limited mind will only seek limited things and solutions.

Easy answer. The Bible in Revelation 22 vs 18 has placed a curse on anyone who ads to or takes out. The Bible was finished in 95 AD There will be no more revelation until he comes again on the last day. Matthew 24 tells us there will be false christs, believe it not.

We accept the entire Bible old and new and all the profits there of.

To make such a statement you know nothing of the Christ.

Hi

You have missed a very important point here, Jesus did not have visions of God. How can God have visions of God?
Jesus is God in the form of a man. God only asks us to believe in Jesus.

Do you believe everyone that tells you they had a vision?

How do you know if a vision is true?

Couldn't it just be made up?

Maybe someone thinks he had a vision from God but it was only his mind playing tricks on him.

These things must be thought out very carefully.

I challenge you to read the Bible so you will know who it is you are criticizing.

Mainly because the Christian faith doesn't agree with what the faiths that those visionaries founded stress, with the exception of Joan of Arc. I don't know what the consensus in the Christian church is on her visions.

you're forgetting a crucial point, which all the Christians on here will be shouting at you soon....:

Jesus did not just have "visions" of God. He WAS God.

Because they believe them selves to be better than anyone who is not with them. They have been taught pride and don't even know it. Pride is supposed to be one of the seven deadly sins. So much hypocrisy. If it's all true then they will burn for all eternaty.
