I am an Ex JW with 15 years in the cult now deprogrammed
The doctrine is a twisted fabric of half truths and and total misconceptions.
They preach openly hatred toward other religions.
Turn a blind eye to spousal abuse toward women.
turn a blind eye to child abuse teaching openly spare the rod spoil the child.
They teach hatred toward those who do not believe what they do and that god will rain horror to the other 6.2 billion people on earth and that is is gods will they all should die. they teach only a select group of them 144,000 the anointed ones will be welcome into heaven and these people are chosen in Brooklyn
the rest of them will be left on earth to clean up the mess of 6+ billion lost lives and all the dead no matter how evil in life will be brought back given a second chance and judged over 1000 years. (yes even Hitler, Stalin, Genghis Khan, Mao tsa Tung, Pol Pot you name it) Those left over in paradise will live forever.
Christ was never nailed to a cross (even though this is historical FACT) in the new paradise even the animals will be harmless vegans.
Grapes will grow as big as basket balls, and only the righteous (them) will be left over.
But to learn the real truth about what they are really like look at the web sites run by ex JW's

Jehovah’s Witnesses are a group of ministers and missionaries who perform evangelistic work among the people in all parts of the earth. We manifest our love for God and our fellow man by declaring God’s purposes to all the people of the whole world in the same manner as did Jesus Christ and his apostles.

Jehovah’s witnesses truly believe what the Bible says and try to live according to its principles. We believe the Bible to be the inspired Word of God, God’s revelation to mankind. We are convinced that the Bible is authentic, reliable and the only guide that leads to everlasting life. It is our textbook. We study it and use it until we know how to find the principle, the proverb or example that fits the need or the problem of the moment. To Jehovah’s witnesses the Bible is the Book of the Creator, in which God tells his creatures about creation, about Himself, about His rules of life—rules that are simple and practical.

Jehovah’s witnesses also believe that the end of this wicked system of things is very near, and so we are busily engaged in warning people of this fact. “This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.”—Matt. 24:14.

We believe that, after the wicked ones are destroyed, under God’s heavenly rule people are going to live forever in perfect health here on this earth restored to paradisaic conditions. This is God’s promise, and Jehovah’s witnesses believe it.—Ps. 37:9-11, 29.

that only 144,000 are going to heaven and very few are left here scattered about in a few kingdom halls. they are the privledged ones who get to partake of the bread and wine once a year as it is passed from jehovahs witness to jehovahs witness. the rest must refrain and never in their life think of doing commuinion. they believe that the unforgivable sin of apostasy is basically leaving their religion. so in this sense you have the makings of a cult. once you are in you are not free to leave for you will not be forgiven by god and your only hope is to go back, which has left a lot of broken and hurt people unable to move forward. it is a very closed system. they do not encourage reading of ouside literature or higher edcucation. you are not allowed to celebrate any holidays. including birthdays. because this might place to much self importance on yourself. although before becoming jehovahs witnesses they were named after the founder russelites, who had an affair with his housemaid, which he tried to keep in the dark for the good of the oganazation. their is rampant child molestation. the elders of the kingdom halls are not taught theology or schooled formally in any way. too their credit they are very sincere in what they believe. but it is a religion of works and not faith. they are required to put in at least 10 hours per month knocking on doors or they will go into a file known as the inactive file. they believe that their headquarters in new york known as the faithful and discrete slave get direct access and interpretation of the scriptures from god which is subject to change and when this does this is known as new light. thus predictions of dates set for armaggedon and printed in the watchtower can be retracted as new light. they devoutly deny that jesus died in a cross. they use their own bible translation.one of the many controversial scriptures they have changed is john 1:1 where jesus was called god in the beginining they have added an a to call him a god. my hope for the witnesses is that they can grasp and allow the good news of the bible to enter in.and that good news is jesus.i believe in jehovah. ialso believe he had a son jesus. and it is time he was glorified.

If you want to know what Jehovah's Witnesses ACTUALLY believe, you'll go to the source, www.watchtower.org, which is their official website. You won't give any credibility to the fools who call Jehovah's Witnesses a "cult", a "sect", or "brainwashed". Such individuals are highly ignorant and only serve Satan's end, which is to keep people away from serving Jehovah and knowing the truth of things.

Jehovah's Witnesses believe that the Bible, in its entirety, is the unfailing Word of God. While they mainly use the New World Translation, which is one of the most accurate and reliable translations to date, they will use other Bibles as well, including the King James version to teach honest-hearted ones some of the basic Bible truths. They follow the basic Bible teaching that Jehovah God alone is Almighty God.

The Bible does NOT teach that Jesus Christ was or is God, and so they do not teach that as well. Rather, the scriptures very clearly differentiate that Jesus is not equal to God, but is lesser in position and a completely seperate individual. Those who make the claim that Jesus is God, or that Jesus is part of a trinity make these claims in complete contradiction of what the Bible actually teaches. Numerous Bible translations apart from the New World Translation agree that the rendering of John 1:1 should reflect not that Jesus is God, but that Jesus is A god, or god-like, which he certainly is. It is irresponsible and wrong to change and misinterpret that verse into claiming that Jesus is God.

The Bible does NOT teach that man has an immortal soul or that all who profess to have faith in and accept Jesus Christ as their Savior will have the prospect of going to heaven. The Bible does NOT teach that the wicked will suffer eternal torment in a fiery, burning hell.

Jesus himself in the book of Matthew made it very clear that not all those who claim to follow him or obey him are his true followers. He even illustrated the point by saying how the vast majority of mankind would be taking the wide and spacious path to destruction, while very few would be on the cramped road to life. That shows that today very few in this world have God's holy spirit on them, to enable them to understand the scriptures and have an accurate knowledge of them. The Bible shows that a person's works, not their mere utterance of 'I have faith in Christ' is what demonstrates their actual faith and their heart condition. As the scriptures indicate, there is ONE true faith, and by sticking closely to it and its members can one expect to receive God's blessing and favor, not least of which will be survival through the coming end of this worldwide system of things.

For one thing, millions living in 1918 will never die.

I agree the prophecy says 1914, Satan is cast out of heaven, but in looking for his short time, I found two sources that says it is 150 years to Rev.20:1-6; Jesus reign.
Matt.24:3,7,14,15,22,36-38 [ Only God know day and hour ];
Rev.9:1-5 [ 5 x 30 = 150 the pit is open for Satan 2520 years after Daniel's Prophecy in Babylon ]; Dan.12:11 [ 2 x 1290 = 2580 this adds 60 years, as 2x 1260 = 2520];
Dan.12:12 [ 2 x 1335 = 2670 and this adds 90 more years to be 150 years as Rev.12:7-12; to Rev.20:1-6; is involved and Michael Jude 9; does stand against Satan, we are at present 2612 of the 2670, we are 6,072 of the 6,130 from Eden];

Jehovah Witness: The Historical Background
Jehovah Witness doctrine was founded by Charles Taze Russell. He was only 18-year-old when he began a Bible study that focused on the second coming of Jesus, as well as the chronology of the Bible. As a result of his study, which took place around 1870, he published numerous books. During that decade, he also presented several formal lectures. In 1879, Russell founded Herald of Christ's Presence and Zion's Watch Tower, which became monthly publications. In 1884, the Zion's Watch Tower and Tract Society were officially formed. Russell served as the president until he died in 1916. Russell also authored a series of books called "Studies in the Scriptures," which became the basis of the Jehovah Witness theology. Today, several men lead the Jehovah's Witness "theocratic" organization, Watchtower Bible and Tract Society (WBTS). The organization is based in Brooklyn, New York.

Jehovah Witness: The Basic Theology
Jehovah Witness theology has many subtle (and not-so-subtle) nuances. Here are the basics of Watchtower doctrine: God is a single being, not a Trinity. He is not all-knowing or present everywhere. (At one point, the WBTS proclaimed that God ruled the universe from somewhere in the Pleiades star system. They have since backed down from this teaching.) First, God created Michael the Archangel, through whom God later created all "other things," such as the earth, the universe, and all mankind. This process took place over exactly 42,000 years. When it was time for the birth of a savior, Michael became a man, in the form of Jesus Christ. He was without sin and kept every law of God. According to Jehovah's Witness theology, Jesus was put to death on a "torture stake." It is here that He bore the sins of all mankind (except for Adam). Later, Jesus rose from death in spirit, but did not rise in physical form. Jehovah's Witnesses who faithfully abide by God's organization on earth (the WBTS) will be spared from eternal annihilation. They will live forever on Paradise Earth. Heaven is a special place that is reserved for a distinct group of 144,000 Jehovah's Witnesses, who have been deemed "born again" by the WBTS and are allowed to take annual communion. Generally, Jehovah's Witnesses agree to attend five meetings a week where they are taught from WBTS literature. After studying the material for at least six months, they answer a series of questions before a panel of elders, and upon approval, are baptized into the organization. Followers are then asked to maintain a modest appearance and demeanor, refusing to vote in government elections, salute the American flag, join the U.S. armed forces, or celebrate birthdays and Christmas. Each member is required to fulfill a schedule of public canvassing in order to distribute WBTS literature and collect donations for WBTS headquarters in New York. If a Jehovah's Witness leaves the organization, he is shunned in all ways. Outside the WBTS organization, "Christendom" is considered "demonic." Christianity is deemed "apostate," filled with pastors who are antichrists, in churches run by Satan, who support the earthly governments.

Jehovah Witness: Watchtower Doctrine vs. Christian Doctrine
Jehovah Witness and Christian theology actually have some basic similarities. Generally, they both teach that God is the Creator of everything, as opposed to naturalistic evolution, and they both share the belief that Jesus Christ will ultimately return to earth to destroy Satan and establish God's eternal kingdom. However, this is where the general similarities cease. There are many important differences in doctrine between the Jehovah's Witnesses and evangelical Christianity, most important of which is the person and nature of Jesus Christ. The deity of Christ is the central point of the entire Bible. Scripture clearly teaches that Jesus Christ is God. The Jehovah Witness teachings concerning Jesus Christ clearly contradict the teachings of the Bible. Multiple passages tell us that Jesus Christ, who existed as God, took the bodily form of a humble servant so that He could die on the cross in our place.

Jehovah Witness doctrine considers the 66 books of The New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures (NWT) as the only true and divinely inspired Word of God. The NWT is produced and published by an "anonymous" translation committee of the WBTS. The NWT is regarded as the best and only translation of the Bible, because "the translators held so closely to what is in the original Bible languages." In addition, the "governing body" of the WBTS is regarded as God's only true channel of accurate biblical interpretation. As such, Jehovah Witness doctrine requires that we be "associated with God's channel, his organization" in order to be true followers of God. This means that there is no salvation apart from the WBTS. Christian doctrine holds that the Bible is indeed composed of the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments, and is indeed the inspired and infallible Word of God. However, the NWT is not a legitimate translation, and merely reflects Jehovah Witness theology, especially its bias against the deity of Jesus Christ and the Christian doctrine of the Trinity. For example, John 1:1 in the NWT reads, "and the Word [Jesus] was a god." All other legitimate Bible translations say, "and the Word [Jesus] was God."

Jehovah Witness: The Basic Christian Response
As far as the Jehovah's Witness claim that the NWT is the only true interpretation of the Bible, the Christian response is that no religious leader or religious organization can claim exclusive control or possession of the true interpretation of the Bible. Through the Holy Spirit, all Christians are capable of interpreting and understanding the Holy Bible. As far as the Jehovah's Witness claim that the WBTS is the only way to God and salvation, the Christian response is that all people who have accepted the free gift of Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior are saved. Salvation is "by grace through faith" in Jesus Christ alone. No amount of works or membership in any religious group is required for eternal life with God.
