And get feelings of heartburn and things like that. I don't eat any fatty meat, just tuna, grilled chicken, cooked eggs and things of that sort. I was a raw vegan for a while before starting to eat meat. My doctor says eating this sort of diet will make me better (I have problems with blood, etc.). But I feel very heavy and sick when I eat this food?

Advice of any sort?

When dogs or cats switch diets they get really sick. This is well documented. VET advise s to very slowly cut in the new food over the course of tweo weeks.

IE you should eat 1 egg on day one

ANd increase your portions from there

That's because your stomach hasn't developed the enzymes to digest it yet. Eat just a little bit of meat at first then slowly introduce more. If you still feel sick, see your doctor.

It is because you are switching to a diet that your body is not used to. You have to work yourself into it gradually.

You might want to try to starting with one egg and then the next day have one egg and a chicken breast.

Your body has to get used to that diet and anytime we change diets it does irritate our stomachs and it can throw us off a little bit.

You have been giving your body only certain substances and now you are introducing something entirely different. It will take time for your system to get used to this new diet.

Eat very small quantities and eat several small meals a day. Meal proteins are hard to digest and it could take several months for your system to get use to them.
