whether holding the phone or having a hands-free device the result is the same -ones driving ability drops down to that of a drunk person--as for the others it is all the same anytime you distract yourself from the task at hand your reaction time is slowed and thusly dangerous to yourself and others and its arrogant of oneself to think otherwise

My daughter has the same questions...I think a distraction is a distraction whether it's talking to other passengers, eating, putting on makeup or fiddling with the radio. In my car, I also ban loud fighting and shrieking. But that's just me. I don't think a cell phone is more distracting than the above. I just think it's easier to enforce a ban on cell phone usage than to outlaw the millions of drive-thru windows at McDonalds.

I dont think its the distraction i think it's the fact that you have to hold the phone. If you have a head set i dont think it's wrong.

Its all dangerous... when you are driving you should concentrating on the traffic and possible hazzards around you.... Nothing else

coz more ppl are more likely to get too caught up in the converstaion and space out to everything around them... thats wat i do..
