I sent my fiance's mother a gift for Mother's Day and I sent his brother a gift for his wedding. I have also sent the whole family a fruit basket, just because. Do you think they think I am just being nice or maybe that I want to impress them?

Only you can answer that. What are your motivations?
It is certainly nice but if you feel pressured or an unusual desire to please then realize that you cannot win them over with gifts.
Also, don't raise the bar for them to feel that they need to spend a lot to please you. Don't come across as high maintenance or requiring gifts to prove love.
Like you, I give my inlaws nice gifts on birthdays and special ocassions. I expect nothing in return. If you feel the same way then don't worry about it.

There is nothing wrong with sending cards for occasions or a gift for a wedding - as a future member of their family these are things you should be doing. Sending a fruit basket just because can be viewed as you trying to suck up to them or as you just being overly nice. Just be yourself and they will love you, you don't need to send them fancy fruit baskets for them to like you.

You should be the only one who knows why you doing things for his family. Is it coming from the heart when you give them gifts?

fruit basket though...y did u send that? i think u should just stick to sending things on special days and ur doing fine!
if they dont like u b/c of what u give or dont give, then they shouldnt b a part of ur family.
