Edenics is a hypothetical language believed to be the original language of mankind spoken in the Garden of Eden until the time of the Tower of Babel. This idea is proposed by Issac E. Mozeson in theThe Origin of Speeches: Intelligent Design in Language: From the Language of Eden to Our Babble After Babel.

The book states that Edenics is the purest form of Hebrew and that all words can be traced back to their original Edenic, or Proto-Semitic root. Examples include sparrow and tzipor, the Hebrew generic term for bird, brook and bricha (pool or pond), over and ever [Me'Ever HaNahar (Over the other side of the river.) and the route of the word Hebrew.], among others.

Mainline academic linguists and historians rejects it as unverifable, being only speculative.
