I just wondered. I thought it would be kind of a lonely existance not to have a dog. I love my little doggy.

I'm a Korean and have three dogs as pets. I know a lot of Koreans have dogs as pets and take a very good care of them and of course don't eat their pets. The kind of dogs some (not many) Koreans eat are special kinds raised for that purpose (so they don't consider them as pets) which I'm against but...that's their old custom like in some other Asian countries.

I saw a show about China (at least think it was China) and how it is against the law for people to keep pets. They have these sort of "pounds" where they keep dogs, and people can pay a fee to "check out" the dogs like a library book and walk them and play with them..and then return them at the end of the day. It was really sad...for the dogs and the people.

Countries that are predominantly Muslim often have fewer pet dogs although they would probably tolerate a foreigner keeping their dog.

Pakestan, maybe, because my classmate is paskestan and she and her family hates dogs and have no other pets.
China does not eat dogs, I'm chinese and I saw a bunch of people walking and holding their dogs!

Yeah, Lebanon. They just run the streets. My friends Lebanese and she hates dogs or any animals for that matter cause she grew up there.
