Leave in conditioner?

is it okay to put a leave in conditioner in 6 hours before you dye your hair? Will it effect the hairdye color? Wha are the effects?

leave in conditioner coats your hair and makes it harder for the color to soak into it. you should wash your hair, then wait 24 hours or longer (some say the dirtier the better because the oils that your scalp produce will protect your scalp from the harsh chemicals) it will probably not affect the color as far as making it tinted something wierd , but it will make it harder for the color to soak in which could leave it a little patchy.
