I live in Raleigh, NC. I don't want to take medicine, but I would like to be around others with this problem who are willing to talk about it. At least this is how I would like to start treating my OCD. Thanks.

You know you can also take action, start one i bet many other out there with OCD and maybe things like GAD would love to see that and would come for sure. I like how you have decided no medicine go for it the natural best way! Also by doing that you are helping others, God will be very proud!

the merely help communities I were to were for the moms and dads of little ones presently clinically determined with autism. My 12 12 months-previous son has autism. he's non-verbal. The help communities are been useful in learning what's accessible educationally and in words of help amenities for the households. i have not considered the call calling, recommend bickering I see the following in those help communities, yet each and every in certain situations I have felt that some members lead others to experience accountable with suggestions from subtly, and many times no longer so subtly, implying that if the different members are not attempting an identical academic, dietary or healing route they're, then they don't look to be doing the appropriate element for his or her baby. variety of like this: "in case you probably did x medical care on your baby, you need to verify better progression in his verbal substitute..........." i ought to choose to ask, how did you recognize that, because what's functional for one baby, ought to correctly be better or a lot less useful for yet another? that is a spectrum, so that you could't in good structure human beings right into a one-sized suits all answer. i imagine my adventure is better like yours. If I evaluate the arguments you describe about medicine, decision medicine and so on. to the academic classes, medicine, decision remedies, dietary remedies and different paths moms and dads of little ones with autism attempt with their little ones. there is confrontation, and many times someone will push extremely guilt in with the confrontation, yet i have under no circumstances considered the down properly meanness I have the following.

Do a web search on NIMH (national institute of mental health). It's a gov't agency. There are lots of references and referral sites there.

any of your local hospitals can hook you up with a variety of support groups, including OCD support groups. i would contact someone in social services at your local hospital and see what they can refer you to. also, your local community health center can refer you to a good group.
