The LifeScan system is used to get a digital image of your fingerprint. That fingerprint is then used to get a positive identification of the person. Then, the police use the identification of the person to check the person's background on a different computer system. In the background check, they can find out if you have any convictions, outstanding warrants, etc.

Get a No Cost Background Check Scan at https://tinyurl.im/aH3NM
Its a sensible way to start. The site allows you to do a no cost scan simply to find out if any sort of data is in existence. A smaller analysis is done without cost. To get a detailed report its a modest payment.
You may not realize how many good reasons there are to try and find out more about the people around you. After all, whether you're talking about new friends, employees, doctors, caretakers for elderly family members, or even significant others, you, as a citizen, have a right to know whether the people you surround yourself with are who they say they are. This goes double in any situation that involves your children, which not only includes teachers and babysitters, but also scout masters, little league coaches and others. Bottom line, if you want to find out more about someone, you should perform a background check.

Ever finger printed? As an aspiring LEO you'd know that charges would show up in the background check. The detail of the charges depend on the background check and how the charge was listed. Crushed at 27 to realize previous legal charges might screw up a career in law enforcement. Sorry to say that this boss / father figure will see a thorough background check. Hope he realizes before the psych eval that you started with asking about a finger print check - like that part was OUT of the BLUE and only describe what you should have already thought of and checked into before getting this far. As an aspiring LEO should know, finger print search means checking for matches to see if a name can be put to a place.

Fingerprint checks that the police run will show any arrest even if not convicted. It is on a system called NCIC. ( national data base) and also in the FBI computer system, since at any time you are arrested, you are fingerprinted and those prints are entered intot he FBI system

I don't actually know. if this is a criminal background check, I would guess only convictions and open cases. If you have an outstanding warrant or are out on bail, that may show up. Arrests where charges were dropped/never filed won't.

Criminal Records Database: https://wikimedia.im/background-checks
Public records are named so because these are records that are meant to be obtained by public and when you say "public", it could be anyone. Public records can be used by anyone for investigations and other things like genealogy, verifications, and free background check. When you say it is public, there is no need to ask permission to the person who is named on the records or the person that you are investigating. You also do not need to ask permission from the government if you want to obtain such records by social security number. All you have to do is to visit them and follow the process of requesting the public records and then wait for the records to be ready for pick up. Once you already have the records that you need, you are now ready to perform a free background check.

Innocent until proven guilty: you have to be convicted for something to go on your record. If they included arrests too, they'd be violating that basic principle of the justice system. And (I believe) it is agains the law to use arrests (without convictions) to make any adverse decisions about someone.
