Something related to what he likes. Like my brother loves to watch action movies and play outside, so my family decided to get him a sprinkler and a couple of costumes for his birthday's and he absolutely is obsessed with them (he's 7).

A dirt bike with a guy.... Hot Wheels make them, they are modeled after the moto x guys...buy them at Wal*Mart, Target, Kmart, Rite Aide, Walgreen's..... This is the only toy all my sons have asked for at every birthday, Christmas, Easter, etc....they all four still get them at every occasion too....and they play with them daily....
