It is all about competetion and the forbidden. It is human nature to compete against one another, and then to desire what is forbidden. For some it even comes down to the sick game of, "I bet I can make him/her want me in a week." Then when the fling happens the thrill is gone. What is left behind are the consequences of the fling, hurt feelings, and possibly destroyed relationships/families.

Well, I guess it depends on the situation... Let's assume a single guy asks a girl out and she likes him but isn't too sure if she wants to date him so she says no...and then she finds out that he started dating someone new and that the relationship between that guy and the new girl is great....then the girl may want to date that guy, eventhough he is in a relationship with someone else, because she realized she lost something that might have had great potential.
Another thing could be she likes to stir up trouble, some women just like causing drama, plain simple.
Another thing could be competition, lets say two friends know the same guy, and the guy is interested in Girl A, but girl A doesn't want him. So he asks girl B (her friend) and her friend says yes. So they start dating and are in a relationship...well girl A realizes he asked her first and wants him back, so she starts telling him that she wants to see him even though she knows he is taken. The reason is just because she doesn't girl B to have the guy.
Another thing could be the idea of wanting something that is not yours....both men and women want things they know are hard to get or they can never have because it gives them the rush to pursue it...By this I mean if a guy is in a relationship, and a woman knowing this stil continues to pursue him and seduces him in to wanting her or vice versa with a guy seducing a woman who is taken, it is a natural ego boost, the thrill of seeking the forbidden fruit, and knowing that the woman/man is capable of making that woman/man weak enough to want her in return regardless of the current relationship status.
Whatever the reason is, its not right or fair...if she knows u r taken she needs to back off, and realize she lost her chance.

Yes! It is called competition, the chase. The same old game that has been played for generations. They really don't want the ones they can get, that is boring, they don't want to committ, so they go after the unattainable and love the jealousy, and all the other bad stuff that happens when a girl gets on another girl's turf. They feed off of it, it keeps them going!

Few reasons: Competition, sometimes those men in relationship don't seem to stay faithful to the woman on board, although not all of them.
Those in relationship learn to say exactly what the women wanted and need to hear.

That's never worked for me, but from what other women have told me, they think that since the guy is able to be in a committed relationship, maybe he's not such a dog like some other guys out there. Kind of stupid, but who knows? Maybe they're right.

Guys always think that girls aren't competitive but we truly are, i guess most girl think that if they can take a guy from their girlfriends, it makes them better other girls. For some reason people always what is forbidden or offlimits, i guess we can blame that on adam and eve.

for me, it's always been bad timing. but i could see a girl wanting a guy just because someone else has him...iono, truthfully, the guy just gets points for having someone who loves him like that.

Me personally only prefer men that are single and available but some women (like men) like the challenge. They usually lose interest once they get you so be careful.
