What does that indicate? I hope to get an appointment with a hematologist soon to find out more. My General Practiioner won't tell me anything.

These values are minimally elevated and could be considered normal in the absence of other findings.

In general, a raised white count, with predominantly neutrophils is supportive of a bacterial infection, such as a strep throat or urinary tract infection. Most of the time though, with a mild increase like this, it doesn't have any relevance.

High white blood cell count is often caused by infection of some kind whether that be autoimmune or bacterial or viral. Usually you don't have symptoms of a "high white blood cell count" usually your symptoms are of your disease process, which in turn causes the high count. So you are really looking for the signs and symptoms of whatever disease you have. One very common sign in almost all ailments is fever. Others may include weakness, fatigue, swelling of your lymph nodes, etc. You should ask what are the symptoms of the disease you have or think you may have

An 11.2 isn't all that high to get worked up about. You could be fighting a bacterial infection is all. Stress will do it too. If your GP isn't worried and you are feeling fine then you should not worry either.
