The jesus in the bible is an amalgamation of many prophets that roamed the lands back then. The stories got around, and the best of them were collected and attributed to jesus.

So it's likely that some of socrates' teachings made it into the bible as jesus' teachings.

Hmmm... well, they both challanged authority and were executed for encouraging others to (though Jesus created a NEW authority, but that was well after his death)... they both voluntarily sought their death (Socrates took the hemlock, Jesus let himself be crucified)... and both had their lifes work written down by someone else (Jesus didn't write the bible, and Socrates had plato)

As for specific teachings... Huh.

Jesus was a fictional character. The words that were out into his mouth in the Gospels came from the 'Q-document'... a compilation of saying from the Greek Cynic and Stoic philosophical disciplines.

There were similarities between the two men,but their teachings
are very different in nature.
