In my opinion it is better for us that GOD does not interact with us as he did in the Bibles days. Think about it, if He were to interact with us the same way many of us would of been turned into pillars of salt or washed away with a flood. We might even be left wandering aimlessy for years in a desert.

I would love some more direct, concrete, tangible contact. It is more difficult for some of us to really believe in the existence of something that "used to" make direct contact but now has an implied existence, mainly through very oblique inference. Why do we have faculties of reason, sight, sound, touch, smell if we are not to make judgments based on those? Referring to faith is fine, but (unless you define faith as simply blind acceptance) faith is gained in different ways for different people. Maybe some "just know," but others need more. If there could be obvious miracles thousands of years ago, why not now? It would save everyone a lot of worry, time and trouble.

That being said, there is another aspect to "the way then and the way now," which is Mosaic law versus Grace. I prefer Grace.

At least he leaves us the **** alone now. I'm not buying that crap.

It's amazing what a book can do, especially the one that describes every day events and then twists them in with absurdities. I mean I bet the guy was holding the half-written bible in his hand and then saw some guy getting whipped and was like, "OMG I GOTTA GO SEE THAT!" Then when he got back he was like, in his bible, "And the man's name was Jesus, The Son of God!" "Omg this is the greatest stuff ever, Hey Paps, look what I found!"

Wait, you mean, is it better that God stays reclusive, or that he springs outward from the heavens to shout out words of vast and altogether infinate knowledge?

Does it really matter?

For some reason or another God isn't routinely present in our current society, and based upon his track record, I'd assume that's for the best.

The way he does it now is better, because everyone can have a personal relationship with God, and God can reveal himself to everyone rather that just a chosen few prophets.

God doesn't change...so your question is moot.

Malachi 3:6 For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

From what i've seen he doesn't do anything these days. I don't believe in god but i do know its possible i'm wrong. I feel that if he does exist he set mankind up for a fall as he knew exactly what would happen.

He was more "hands on" back then. Lots of killing, sheeple sacrificing. Luckily, nowadays, God doesn't care if you were a shirt with two types of cloth. I'd say he's loosened up in his old age.

To judge God is a sin within its self therefore I digress.
