can someone explain to me one night stands with a total stranger.. and such... where you dont have any connection or emotions.. how is that possible that you just have sex without any personal attachment and no intimacy? im not condeming people who do it, i was just wondering if someone could explain why it happens.
serious answers please. no BS like "bc it feels good" etc.

Despite what you might think, women and guys are different when it comes to sex. A guy can have sex with literally no strings attached and feel no emotional connection afterwards. This is much harder for women because they are naturally very emotional. The proof that women are more emotional is because they cry over things that no man really would, such as happy endings in movies. It's for this reason that emotions play a much larger role in sex with women than it does for the guy. You might not want to hear the answer, "Because it feels good." but that really is our purpose for one night stands. We don't need to feel an emotional connection to have sex with someone. However, when we do have sex with someone we are connected with it's so much better. You need to remember that women and guys don't just have different body parts. We have different mental makeups which we cannot control.

Some people pick up on cues from other people when they are out at clubs, bars, wherever that trigger this thought. Some people may be unhappy with their sex life with their partner and want mindblowing sex with no love or emotion attached. They truly love their significant other, but just need some satisfaction elsewhere. It's wrong, but it does happen. Others just are not the relationship type and do not want to comitt to one person, but everyone has needs and desires and it just so happens tha one night stands are one way to alleviate this problem.

Because you allowed it and you had no boundaries. You only allowed yourself tobe
satisfied for the moment. Futhermore sex is only empty when it's witth someone
you do not love. These people expects nothing and get nothing back. Having a one
stand with a total stranger can be dangerous even sometimes you feel you know the
person. What it amounts to is that you are the one that's left with the hurt feelings,
that's for both sides.

After your alone for a while, you forget all about love, and everything connected to it. You start to wonder why you were stupid enough to fall for someone anyway, when you can have what you really want by paying for it, or in really good cases free. 4 years of being totally single, and 22 years of no action at all, taught me that feelings like those, should just be ignored, because someone always ends up getting lied to or hurt.

some people are not looking for a serious committment because they got to much other crap going on in their life to have a relationship but then they do have the sex drive thing going on so they will go out and find casual encounters to satisfy that urge in their life without the committment of a relationship i mean i am not a strong beleiver in one night stands but then there are those moments were someone dont want to be in a relationship and just wants to get laid and other people think that way too.

One night stands are about physical gratification. For many people, especially women, one night stands are a poor substitute for what they are really looking for, which is emotional intimacy. Having said that, one night stands can be fun, as long as everyone plays by the rules of the game, that is: leave your emotions at the door.

The more experienced you get, the more you'll realize that sometimes there just isn't or can't be, anything more than a physical need that just needs to be met. Like you and your friend might be hella attracted to each other and one night just hook up, but don't want to screw up the friendship and just stay friends. I've done that on a few occasions.

i've done it when i was younger and tired of being hurt by men,it was fun you don't have to answer to nobody,don't have to worry about hurting someones feeling because your both in it for one reason i don't see anything wrong with it as long as your using protection

i had a one-night stand i guess with someone from school. it was so stupid because i realized i had to see him the next day & that he went to my school. now we hate each other. so much drama came after that one night.
