Every time I have been
a 'couple' in a household,
it has been with a man, who
has no concept of having
money in the bank to pay bills.

Money in the bank means a
nght out drinking pitchers and
shooting pool, a bag of illegal
substance, or a new motorcycle.

My ex-husband actually used
MY credit card to buy everybody
in a bar, a round of drinks.

(House payment...?
What house payment?)

I pay the bills.
Always.
Period.

My husband pays all of the utility bills at the beginning of the month. We have our mortgage divideec into two payments (can be done by the bank and is automatically withdrawn from my checking account). We usually use our ATMs for daily living expenses like gas, food, going out to eat, etc.

My husband does, and has ever since we've been married. We own a business, and he pays the business bills, and some of our household bills are paid for by the company, so he's just always taken care of it.

When I was married, both of our paychecks went into one account, I used that account to pay the bills (I was the financially responsable one, so I made sure the bills were paid and check book balanced) and would give him his "allowance", when I left active duty, it stayed the same way, except the checking account balance was a lot smaller.

When I was living with my exboyfriend. He paid the car exspenses. and I would help out with the gas. We'd split the electric and utilities bill. The phone bill was split amoung whomever used it.He paid the basic fee and the LD was split to whom made the call. and I paid the internet bill....and any other "fun" exspenses were shared. As for rent/mortgage, he paid that only because of his job paid for it.

try to be equal.
