I like cheese and crackers with a glass of wine...but a couple of months ago I had a bowl of strawberries, and it really brought out the flavor in the wine. I don't drink cocktails. I like to eat hotdogs when I drink beer-I feel like I'm at a ball game :)

With beer I'd probably go for something salty like pretzels, wine goes well with cheeses, fruits, breads and crackers, and margaritas go well with chips and salsa. My bases are all covered.
