Nothing at all! Better to walk in a store barefoot than to sit your bare rear end down on a public toilet...
Or are you judging people who pee in public too?

OK I'm a college graduate with a 15 year career history in Consumer Credit and Finance. I have a wonderful fiance, a daughter, a home, pets... the usual livable life. I enjoy going to local theatre productions, antiquing, fishing and doing wildlife photography.
I am also a barefooter.
Now, had you not known the above things about me, would you just think I was just some trashy person who gave not a hoot about my own personal appearance and hygeine? Or... would you just think that hey, maybe she just likes going barefoot?
And what the blue hell does being a barefooter have to do with BBW's? You think only large women like to go barefoot? Wow. That was prejudiced.

I don't think I would even notice if someone wasn't wearing shoes. I guess I don't judge people as quickly as others.
I guess I would only notice if there was a problem with there feet. If they had unhealed lesions, if their skin was leathery due to overexposure, than perhaps I would think they were homeless and living on the street. The majority of homeless people wear shoes though, so I wouldn't really see a correlation.
What I would notice would be that woman staring another woman up and down and giving that holier than thou disapproval look -- that arrogant look of disdain that snotty women tend to make when judging others. I would chuckle, however, if I saw that in a WalMart - the fact that a woman who shops at WalMart thinks she is so fancy as to judge others? The fact that someone thinks it's wrong to not wear shoes in WalMart, but thinks it's ok to make judgments about someone else's income, living status, girth and ethnicity (I assume by BBW you mean Big Black Woman - I don't think someone being snooty about barefootedness would be thinking big beautiful woman, but that would be nice).
I think the person with the lack of etiquette is the one who judges the barefoot person, not the one who entered the store barefoot.
That being said, stores selling food products and eating establishments don't allow barefoot people to enter the premises generally. So, if it's a store worker making the call to tell the person to wear shoes or leave the store, that is their job, not a personal judgement.
Personally, I hate wearing shoes, and have walked the streets of NYC barefoot, but I do put them on for protection when riding, and wear them to enter stores selling food products and restaurants.

I'd think they were probably a very unclean, backwoods person. Who walks around through a parking lot and then in the store barefoot? Those people are going to go home and walk around on their carpet. Yuck!

I think it's cool, but I would worry about stepping on something sharp or unhygienic. It's great to go walking about outside completely nude, but you do have to be careful where you put your feet.
By the way, 'bbw' = Big Beautiful Woman.

Someone who lost their shoes and needs to buy a new pair. Why else would they walk around barefoot in a store! Eww... there is a fungus amoung us! sooo many things could infect you... so the only reason i would think is that they really really need a pair of shoes!

You are right . People should be judged by what they choose to wear or not wear on their feet. Let me guess, you probably wear socks when you have sex.
