Bad spelling is a pet peeve of mine. I cannot believe how often I find misspelled words in emails, postings, even here on this site and spell check is available! Why don't people take the extra 5 seconds to check it? When I read something by someone and there are a zillion misspells it totally turns me off. WTH?

In virtual place, people are always in a hurry, they write and read just worried about the the ideas. They are developing a Reading characteristic - foretelling. Experiences prove people can understand a words or letters missing text . I don't know if it is good or bad the new way of communication people are developing in web. In Brazil this spell check and writing problems are the same. Even with this misspells, we can understand and answer, so there is communication.

Some people don't even know what or where spell check is on their computer. Some people are in a hurry.

Most likely, many people do not use spell check out of vanity. Although just as many probably do not use it out of plain laziness. Then again some are probably just ignorant.

You should really lighten- up. People have varied degrees of intelligence and education. Getting so disturbed by another's poor spelling shows a lack of temperance, patience and maturity on your part. Poor spelling is bad; getting angry is worse. Lighten- up, please.
