Evander Holyfield was a great boxer. He's beaten the best of the best of his generation just like Ali did. He may not be the biggest, the strongest or the fastest or most gifted but he had the biggest heart in all of boxing. He had overcome too many obstacles to become the only heavyweight boxer to win the belt 4 times(not even Ali could do that). I just hope he hangs up his gloves before he gets hurt. Time for him to retire. He's got nothing else to prove and he's made millions of dollars.

Rocky Marciano. Maybe the best ever pound for pound. Right now, probably the majority of boxing fans would consider Mayweather to be the best pound for pound. But for all-time, you have to go with the entertainer, Ali. Put on a great show and had skills that only come along once every 100 years. Nobody could touch him in his prime. And it was a shame that a portion of his prime was spent away from boxing. ALSO, I forgot about the heavyweight Jack Johnson. He was unbeatable for years. Most folks do not bring him up in these types of conversations and that is a shame because he was so great that he should never be forgotten.

Rocky Marciano was the only undefeated heavyweight champion at 49-0-0 43 KO's. He had good boxing skills but was known more for power and endurance! Ali was a great boxer along with Sugar Ray Robinson and Willie Pep.

tyson during his prime. can you say intimidating? i never seen so many boxers step into the ring that looked so scared as in the mid 80's - '92. his down fall? he was just to short. he was just used to bulldozing over guys that when buster douglas fought him and actually fought using his jab tyson didn't know what to do. and that was pretty much the end of it for. other than the riddick bowe fights he was done
