I get upset because it's our own government that's driving up gas prices with all these wars. Besides, they tax up gas so high and make billions in profit per year. Then you have oil companies which are rich beyond our belief, and it makes you hate this country.

Why get upset? Just adjust your budget. Eat out one meal less a week. Skip one movie a month. Find a better paying job. Work a couple hours overtime.
The only way we can control the price of gasoline is to decrease demand. Drive slower, go light on the gas pedal. Keep your car and tires in good condition. Drive higher MPG rated vehicles. Walk when you can. If the consumer did things like this it would decrease demand for gas and the prices might come down.

Yes, is quite upsetting, but like another person answered, what can we do about it. The government don't care, cause these big oils keep feeding them with BS money that we don't know about. Also, I'm not surprised that Mobil made another record profit.
I'd say, stop buying their gas if at all possible. Make another company #1. Which don't help either, but then they might get the idea, we just don't like frauds, and are tired of it all.

When gas stations have their bulk tanks filled, they are charged and have to pass the price along to their customers. Most gas stations make very little margin of profit. In fact, many have gone out of business because they were unable to pay the high prices.

You're nimrods. All of you. Imagine if in 1985 you were paying three dollars a gallon while you were earning less than half of what you earn now. Well, finncially you could not have made it. It's probably good that gas was less than half what it is now when you were earning half what you do now. Does ANYONE in this country have even the most TENTATIVE grasp of simple economics? Of course gas goes up. Everything goes up. It's just that people like to complain.

Don't get upset. I am thankful I don't live in Europe where they've had to pay a lot high prices for gas than we ever have.

I don't, with high gas prices, it takes less time to pump $20 into the tank, and thus less time at the pump. Its a time saving feature!

Gesh it's horrible. There's no way those stations have to fill their tanks everyday. But yet, the go up and down day by day. It's price gouging!
