I unknowingly trespassed on property and ate fruit off plant. I left immediately after being told and even offered to pay to replace the food. The owner took down all my personal information. How long does he have to press charges against me?

The police have to show up while you are still there and advise you that you are trespassing and tell you to leave. If, after that you choose to stay, and they get called back out, then you can be arrested. Don't worry about it.

u have to be tresspassed off of the grounds by a certified police officer. That officer has to have the owner present and the owner has to tell you in front of the officer unless the city that u were in has power of attorney on that specific location. Otherwise nothing will happen.

I'd guess if the police haven't contacted you yet, They probably never will.
