I have several e-mail address's and a friend in Japan wants to know my American address for e-mail. Is there an extension that is added?

It's the same. It doesn't change. joeblow@aol.com is the same whether somebody is sending you email from Kentucky, Antarctica, or Japan. There is no ".jp" or anything like that.
You can pronounce it as joebRow@aol if you want, and your friend will understand how to spell it better.

No, you don't have to add any extensions unlike the phone numbers. your e-mail address is the same in all languages.
