Wow. Not much compassion for patients.
Do you talk down to all of them?
What kind of Phd do you carry?

Yes the doctor has to respect other peoples beliefs whether they are what he believes or not. Thats the kind of responsibility you get when you become a doctor...so if you have a problem with people not believing what you believe in then....dont become a doctor.

No.

Doctors are trained clinicians. They have no responsibility for elevating or sympathizing with the faith of their patients.

Doctors are trained to gather facts and make a clinical diagnosis. From the first day of medical school they are trained to treat their patients unemotionally and factually in order to get beter diagnoses and better results.

If there's something serious, you're going to be in the hospital, where there are chapels and where clergy regularly visit. There's a role for prayer in getting well -- but -- that isn't the medical doctor's job.

Whether they think they are god depends on the physician. They act like they are god because sometimes that's the only way to get a patient to follow instructions. It's kind of like a school teacher acting like a grouch, even though she's really nice, to get the kids to stay in line so they learn more.

A prayer is between the patient and God. The doctor is not invovled at all.

Why would you think all doctors are atheist? You have an absolute question and a contrasting answer. You're just a bored 13 y.o. suburban boy.

Not sure what your question is, but i'll answer the 2nd part at least.

the patient is free to pray for himself, or get other people to pray for him. If he chooses that instead of a rational medical treatment, that is their freedom of choice. but he shouldn't expect the doctor to pray for him.
It may be sad and pathetic, but their choice.

Doctors perform uses like eveyone else. Those who work willingly for the Lord are "servants," those who work and they are really not willing are called "prisoners" of christ.
