Yes...he will. But everything takes time - some longer than others. I don't know the circumstances behind the incident, but you need to be up-front and honest with your Dad. If you did something else you shouldn't have, now is the time to face the music. Tell him exactly how you feel and that you want his forgiveness, have learned your lesson, and want to win his trust and respect again. Be sincere when you're talking and be sure you mean what you say. A man (or woman) is only as good as their word...remember that...and stick to it. You love your Dad forever and he loves you forever too. Sometimes we disappoint each other in the things we do and say, but that doesn't change the love we have in our hearts. Remember that. Carry on a conversation with your Dad like you're a young man (or young woman) and assume the responsibility of knowing what you did. Keep your chin up...and remember...this will pass. Take care

Why did you do that? It was your dad not your boyfriend. It depend on why you busted the headlights in the first place. You all just need to talk about it and work it out.

He may say he forgives you, but chances are he will never trust you ever again. The relationship you've built for so many years is ruined because you don't have any respect for his stuff. After all he's done for you and you repay him like this while he's away? What a horrible child. If I were him I'd beat you.
