A rebound relationship is a relationship made to get over with the one that you just left.

When a serious intimate relationship breaks-up it can be a very difficult time that often gives you the feeling of confusion, anxiety, loneliness, sleeplessness and sadness. One very enticing way to cope with this unlikable state is to immediately fall into the arms of someone else who will hold you and make you feel desirable.

So take it slow, heal old wounds, deal with your feelings and learn from your past choices and decisions.

Going out on the rebound means going out with someone straight after you have broken up with your boyfriend. Just bouncing from one guy to the next without any time in between. Yes, you are on the rebound and so is your ex-boyfriend.

Sometimes when you break up with someone you're hurt, and often depressed. You then put yourself in a "rebound" position. You hook up with any guy that comes along regardless of whether you like him or not. By getting with someone else you're trying to help make the pain go away, but it doesn't work that way. You have to give yourself a little time.

in short the phrase on the rebound simply means you have recently broken up from a relationship and you are jumping right back in to the dating game before you have had proper time to get over the last relationship. which often means the relationship you rebound to often is only very short lived and may be just a one or two week fling approximately.

to rebound means to "jump into another relationship or one night stand because you prefer to be with some then be on your own. It can also mean you just want to go out and score straight away and not care about anyone but yourself, which isnt a bad thing, some times after a break up, you need to have fun and be with as many people as you like.,

on the rebound mean that...

The guy you said yes to yesterday is your rebound, its someone that you can use to get over the other partner that you had before this new one. The girl your ex is with is also his rebound to get over you. So no your not a rebound however you have found a rebound for yourself...

On the rebound is an immature way someone acts (sometimes with the help of others) to get back at someone they have broken up with. May I add, it's a waste of time.

Rebound means that you're going out with someone just because you broke up with somebody else. It's either to spite them or to prove that you're still desirable. It's somebody you ordinarily might not go out with. Yes it sounds like your going out with this new boy to spite your ex....thats definitely rebound.
