If you lived in the village you would be the idiot. Its a shame no one told you before, I don't know what you'll do now that you know that they've been talking behind your back for so long.
Problem is, its not their fault!!! If you move anywhere else everyone'll know... its written all over you. You'd be luckier if you had an obvious birth defect so they could give sympathy, but you know by now theres none of that for you here.
And you can't leave anyway, you're stuck.
