Yes, however long they live, it will technically be their "whole life." Still, it's obvious this person intended that to mean many years. And I guess the reason that we all tend to assume we still have many years ahead of us is that truly 'living for the moment' is impractical. Yes, we should always be prepared to die and meet our maker, but you can't live your entire life like it's going to end in an hour. If you do, then you won't be prepared for tomorrow, and when it comes, you'll be in trouble. And while you can't ever be sure whether or not you still have many years ahead of you, chances are you do.

To say you have your whole life ahead of you means whether your life is to be another hour, another year or another 50 years. Whatever fate has in store for you.

Well if all you had was one day, it would still be your whole life. If something tragic happens to us tomorrow, it wouldn't really matter. One has to have hopes and dreams or one might as well only have until tomorrow. Even if they do not come true, without them, what do you have?

no matter how much or how little time we have left on this planet we still have our whole life ahead of us, we dont have one half or one quarter of it left we have the whole thing in front of us. Don't waste it.

I guess if you die in an hour then your whole life ahead is an hour long. Fortunatley, we don't know when we will die, so we ASSUME, we have years. Some of us will, some of us won't, just enjoy every minute.
