then why don't you just pray for him to provide money instead of passing around the collection plate at church??

Linda...ok, then so all christians throughout history have never prayed properly? is that your point? because millions of you guys are still taking out of your own pockets to support "the church" Why won't god provide???

the twisted logic, the squirming rationalizations....all fairly predictable dogma....god works in mysterious ways...sometimes he answers no....please come up with something original. Why in the world does god need your money to heat his own house where he want you to come and tell him what a great guy he is for creating you cause if you don't...its hellfire forever buddy.

so god created all life, the universe and everything...but when it comes to day to day church expenses for his flock, the saved, the chosen.....he cant sprinkle a couple gold bars or Rolex watches for you to hawk?? He burned himself out with that creation thing??

Because, secretly, the Church KNOWS that God doesnt exist.... If they told the parishoners THAT, how the hell else would they be able to rob them blind??

I am afraid you do not understand the concept.
Tithing is an important function of the Church.
It does not just mean money.
Money helps the Church to grow and do outreach to the community.
Also doing acts of generosity become a tithe.
You do receive more than you give out. We in my household are blessed over and over again with items, health, prosperity and
happiness.
This is from God. I have many stories of change that would show there is no other life like it.
By the way, how does a sparrow survive?
God provides.

Looking back into the history, God demands that we give give back 1/10th of the earning he has already given to us. It is a very small sacrifice considering he grants us our next breath- one right after the other. The collection is what pays the pastor, keeps the light and utilities on in the church, and provides services to those who do not have. The money has to come from somewhere, what is wrong with the collection plate?

Just because you pray with sincerity doesn't mean you will get everything you want. That is just the way life is. The collection plate at church is your way of giving back to God for the good things in your life. Praying that he would fill it with money kinda defeats the purpose there :)

God provides with what you believe to be your Truth.
If you are always in the state of 'need' or 'want' money that is exactly what you will have in your Life, there is no other way around it. Even if you pray sincerely you are coming across like begging because you need it or want it.
But for those who give it away freely with an abundance mindset, they know they will get it back and then some.
I know, because I DO.

Because God only answers prayers that are according to his will. You might as well ask why don't we all pray for a million dollars. God uses giving as an opportunity for his children to show him trust and honor. Trust that He will meet us at the point of our needs and honor in that we care more about his Kingdom work here on earth than buying something for ourselves.

He's more interested in your soul and eternal purposes so not all you pray for are given the way you want it to be. What profits a man if he gains the world but loses his soul? You may have a lot of money but people hate you and you've never experience love. what does that profits you?

... do you understand the meaning of the word sincereity? Part of the problem with the idea that you have to honestly believe in a certain deity is that you have to BE sincere... and you can't just force yourself to be sincere, so you can't just force yourself to believe in god. You can force yourself to follow all the rules and restrictions, you can force yourself to undergo a process of brainwashing, but you can't just change your beliefs via willpower. Coming to a realization or insight through logic can change belief, but sheer willpower (usually) can't.
So, the point is, if you're sincere in your wishes... chances are you're not asking for money.

It doesn't work that way. He provides spiritual feelings and that's why people collect money in his name. It's not really god's money they aren't sending him a check. It's wacky to me, but the pastor has to have his nice car and house.
