Marriage is for two people who can trust each other without any second thoughts, two people who are each others best friends, two people who "can" live without each other but would rather live with each other. Two people who have total and complete respect for each other. And so on, and so forth.
Meaning............Don't get married just for the sake of getting married....Take the time to make sure this is the person you want to spend the rest of your life with. Make sure it is with a person that you can go through the good times with and the bad, without taking off, running away at the first sign of trouble.
And for heavens sake make sure you are IN LOVE, not just say you love them. Make sure they are your best friend and that you are willing to put them above anyone else. To many people forget that when you take those wedding vows that part of it says........forsake all others..........meaning your parents, your friends and anyone else......your saying that you will put your spouse above ALL others....so make sure they are your best friend and that you love them more then anyone else in the world.
And that they will put YOU above anyone else also.

I got married with 21, was married for 15y, husband committed adultery and abandoned family home, been a singleparent since Jan 1998, not AFRAID to be married for a second time
