The U.N. and many of the member nations are pretty upset about the killing of those four observers. According to the U.N., the observers made about ten telephone calls to the Israelis to tell them the bombs were getting to close to their outpost. There have been numerous U.N. outposts destroyed during Israel's campaign against the Hezbollah, similar to the one where the four observers where killed.
Since they had already destroyed some without it resulting in death, perhaps the Israelis were thinking the observers would leave. Common sense says that if you are an unarmed observer and things are getting pretty hairy, maybe it's time to become worried about your own safety and leave.
According to the news reports that I saw, the outpost was destroyed with a laser-guided device. That means you have to point the laser at the target in order to hit it. If that's true, then I agree with you that it was intentional; It couldn't be otherwise.

"Is Israel done for?" no, not ever.
And to the jackass that said that Israel is heartless in wartime need to open a history book. Remember when Israel fended off attacks from the 5 surrounding countries one after the other. And then gave back the land they captured during the war.
It has been said time and time again, "Israel has the best trained best equipped military in the world" they just lack the manpower. They are Lions of Judah and will fight tooth and nail till the very end if needed. Regardless of what they do, the United States will have their back as long as a Christian president is in office.

The U.N. is an idiot organization and shouldn't have been there. They are good for nothing. if they knew that Israel was bombing the place why did they go there? Kofi Annan can't do anything else other than run around shooting of his mouth. He is supporting the Hezbollah who are nothing but terrorists. Israel has a right to exist without harrassment form Hezbollah or Hamas. Why can't the idiots in the U.N. see to it? Why are we paying for the U.N. and helping countries like Lebanon? I hope we stop sending in donations to all those countries that are supporting Hezbollah and Hamas.

Israel did not intentionally kill the workers. Kofi Annan is a hot-head who overreacted as always. Second, Israel has had more difficult wars than this. When they were first created every Arab country that bordered them attacked and Israel beat them all. This is just little old Lebanon. There will be no problem whatsoever.

Israel has the capability and technology to pinpoint the exact target it wants to hit, i.e it can easily stay away from hitting civilian homes, hospitals, airports, schools and the UN Post.
It's not the first time Israeli hit a UN post, last time it did Israel caused hundreds of deaths.
The UN kept calling the Israeli force for 6 straight hours trying tomake them understand that they are a UN post but with no luck.

Not hardly...
And IF the Israelis did attack the UN observation post on purpose, perhaps there was a reason for it? Like, oh, I don't know, some Hizbollah rockets hiding nearby?
Of course, I guess they have to put them somewhere; I mean, it's not like Hizbollah would be cowardly enough to hide in civilian housing full of woment & children.
Oh, wait...

If the Israeli's were fighting an honorable enemy, which Hezbollah and other terrorist organizations aren't, I'd be more worried.
Hezbollah intentionally places itself in not only UN areas, but in civilian areas as well. As much as the Israeli's train in the use of their weapons and take measures to not hit civilian and UN targets accidents do sadly take place.

You stated in your question that you no longer support Israel.
Read your Bible zen master g, because that is a very very
unwise position to take.
Its too bad about the 4 UN observers that were killed.
Its also too too bad that Hezbollah terrorists shield and hide
themselves behind women and children.
Its also too too bad that Hezbollah rockets are still being
fired at civilians in Israel.
It is my prayer that Israel does not stop the hostilities until
every last one of the Hezbollah terrorists is either crushed
or repents of his or her evil and hatred.

First of all you are a liar. Not even a convincing liar so that makes you a sorry liar. At first you were a supporter and now you call them murderers without even the benefits of an investigation or determinations of causes? You are a shallow minded joke who couldn't tell a difference between good and evil even if the evil killed a child as a means to their wicked ends. All of you fog headed liberals make me sick with your cowardess and inability to be honest about who has the evil sick minded extremists working to kill innocent men, women and children intentionally. Your freedom allows you to spew your misguided opinions, enjoy it, it may not last much longer if many others join your cowardess ways and fail to defend freedoms you enjoy.

Retired Canadian Major General Lewis MacKenzie interviewed on CBC Toronto radio 26 July 2006 in the morning.
"...the tragic loss of a soldier yesterday who I happen to know and I think probably is from my regiment. We've received e-mails from him a few days ago and he described the fact that he was taking [fire] within - in one case - three meters of his position 'for tactical necessity - not being targeted.' Now that's veiled speech in the military and what he was telling us was Hizbullah fighters were all over his position and the [Israelis] were targeting them and that's a favorite trick by people who don't have representation in the UN. They use the UN as shields knowing that they can't be punished for it."
