my fiance cheated on his wife at the time who is now his ex wife but he did not cheated with me,it was someone who he met in his cab he is a taxicab driver and he just met this , and he was mistreated and verbally abused by his ex wife which i know this is the fact he said he will never cheat on me b/c i give him all the attention he wanrs she never did so he said he went looking for attention that he wanted and he says he loves me more than he HAS ever loved anyone,and i can tell how much he loves me,my question is do you think people can change??i think they can....just need some advice...

Nope they are what they are. He got away with it once and look at the excuse he made...HE wasnt getting the attention "HE" wanted. He is only looking out for himself...RUN

Dear hoping for change!
I say this from personal experience. It takes alot for people to change and yet you are right they do change. The act of cheating can be explained in only one simple way..it is still cheating no matter what hat you put on it. When someone isn't happy about something the simple fact is they do not EVER have to resort to cheating. They simply need to fix the relationship or leave it. This time is was the excuse of a wife who misunderstood or mistreated him and next time what will the determining cause be. I 'm not saying to dump him, but if you actually have to consult the Internet for advise about this.. my guess is it is a doubt in your mind.. I think you are smart for considering all your obstacles and options before you continue forward. Just remember, it's your peace of mind that is important and if you can't have that.. you need to find it elsewhere. So let your heart decide and go with it, but if he cheats on you , have respect for yourself and put your foot down right away!!! Good luck!!! I really hope it works out for you and .. you are the one who can change a cheating heart!!

Sometimes people can change, but in certain situations I am not too positive about it. Cheating for example are one of those grey areas i am a bit skeptical about. He cheated on his ex wife with a random stranger and then claimed it was because she did not give him the attention he needed. Say you two get married and he feels you are not attentive enough to him......you will be living with the thought always at the back of your mind am I giving him enough attention is he satisfied with what he has at home?? Eventually it will consume all your thoughts and you will feel like you are constantly walking on eggshells making sure he gets his attention. You have to ask yourself if you really want to go through life like that??? Is he worth that to you?? If he is than more power to you but my guess is that NO ONE would want to live like that!!!
