Hey ,none of those answers i agree with , I'm a cat person too,.
If she did it from a young age ther is nothing you can do about it , cats are clever creatures of routine , If she loves you then hey deal with it! my ***** mum got run over at 3 weeks ,I Bottle Fed her for 6 weeks , now I'm sure that she believe I'm mum , I have to wake up every morning with some part of me , usually around my ear or hairline/forehead being sucked, uuugggghhhhhhhh!
but hey she's my 'blossom' soooooooo what??????
Enjoy you're cat, she loves you! She can't answer you back either , Which is nice !!!!!!!

No, you don't love her too much, you just love her. If she is that old, then I would wait it out. Unfortunately, she probably won't be around much longer. If the spots are still there and she keeps peeing on them, then the smell is still there and she is attracted to that. I would take a spray bottle and mix it with 2 parts water and 1 part white vinegar and spray it on the spots when you think about it. Spray them every time you walk by them and the vinegar will mask the smell of the urine so she can't smell it and maybe she will go to the litter box. But, with her age, it might not be a guarantee. If its somewhere not in the middle of the room, you could take a top, like a computer paper box, and line the bottom of it with a plastic grocery bag, put a small amount of litter in it, and place it directly on the spot that she is going. Everyday move the box a little until you get to the place where her all time litter box is now and then consolidate them. I know that is what you do for kittens to get them used to the box. Maybe it will work for her.

It sounds like the cat was never properly trained to use the litter box. Cats hate dirty litter boxes, and with so many cats at your place, this is likely why she is peeing anywhere. Change the litter box (and I hope you have more than one) every day, actually several times a day with so many cats around.
Or, she might have a urinary tract infection and might require attention from the vet, which can be a bit expensive if the vet wants to take samples and do tests.

Try putting litter trays where she makes her mistakes- it might work!!
. I have a 16 year old who has done this from kittenhood- the trouble is, he likes electrical gear, and so far he has cost me- 3 fridge-freezers, two tvs, two microwave ovens, a smoothie maker, three portable radios, five electric toasters, two hi-fi systems each costing over £1,000, four padded headboards, uncountable pairsof curtains, 3 sofas, five armchairs and a bed settee.!! Not to mention decorating rooms......so I wont. I still love him, but I have tried EVERYTHING the vet could suggest. Its just something they do, bless them (I think????)

It seems like it may not stop. Since she is a senior cat it may be difficult to stop. Of course, you could always try having a litter box in each of the locations that she has been relieving herself. This might help.

I don't think you love her to much. In my opinion you can never love you pet to much. But you really should have tried to teach her that it was wrong from the start. now that she is 12yrs old there is not much you can do to make her stop.

As long as you own the house, not rent, and you don't have any small children who may be affected by the ammonia in the air from the pee, it's your decision.

My kitty used to do that all the time, and we took her to the vet and it turned out that she had some sort of thing in her that was making her do that, so he gave us some medicine to give the kitty and when they were all gone, she didn't do it anymore! so u should check eith ur cats vet and c if it has the same thing.
