What is the best way to scrunch hair? I bought Pantene Scrunching Moouse and I have Ganier Hairspry and gel. I had my hair wet and i put moouse and rubbed it on my hairs and then i scruncehed and than i started to blowdry on low and scruched my hair with my hands and it doesn't work. Then I sprayed a little hairspray but my hair is still realli wet. Am I doing something wrong?

is your hair dripping wet when you do it? towel dry your hair first. if your hair is too too wet, it won't work. how long do you scrunch your hair for? 5 minutes? 10? 20?.
i scrunch my hair all the time...and it sounds like you were doing everything right. i just use mousse and finish it off with hairspray...but my hair is wavy so i don't really need to put in gel. if your hair is naturally straight, your going to want to scrunch it as much as you can...until your hand falls off. i'm exagerating here. LOL. u know what i mean though.
do you scrunch your hair all at once? do u grab ALL of your hair when you do scrunch it? if you do, you might want to separate your hair in parts when you do it that way you coat your hair very well with the mousse or gel.
what i do is i divide my hair down the middle like if i was going to braid some pigtails. and tie one side off in a mini bun. i make it in a little bun so my hair stays damp while i'm doing the other sections, and so it doesn't get in my way. and then with the other loose half of hair, i divide it again, but horizontally. i start at my ear and work my way across to the center of the back of my head. i tie up the upper half in a mini bun and work on the lower half.
when you put in the mousse and gel, put a LOT in so it gets almost every strand of hair. but don't put to much in that your hair is super slippery and it feels like your hair was dunked in water.
and then scrunch, scrunch, scrunch that section of your hair while your blowdrying and then once your done w/ that section, go crazy with the hair spray. and continue to scrunch, and then continue on the other 3 pieces.
i personally don't use a blow dryer b/c my blow dryer sucks, and it doesn't work with my hair, so let my hair dry naturally after i do the whole hair spray thing, my hair actually comes out better if i don't blow dry it.
when your doing the upper halves of your hair, flip your head over while your scrunching your hair and blowdrying, it'll give your hair that lively look and give it alittle more volume than if you were standing up straight.
hope it works out for you!

I scrunch mine every day to bring out the curl. I use L'oreal Curl Vive shampoo and conditioner first as it helps kill the frizz and bring out the curl. Then I use the Pantene Styling Gel for Curls and scrunch with my hands. I have found that if I let it air dry the curl comes out *much* better. The hairdryer doesn't work for me at all!

***Also after you wash your hair make sure you leave the towel on your head for 5 minutes or so to absorb any extra water. If your hair is too wet when you do this it will not come out right. I have learned from experience!

use gel. not mouse. i use LA looks #9 hold. make sure ur hair is like soaking wet, put a lot of gel in and scruch then kinda scruch it w/ a towel to get some wetness out. then use a little more gel or some mouse. get a hair dryer w/ a diffuser. if u dont want to make sure u put ur hair dryer on low and flip ur head over and dry it while scruching. keep the dryer in one spot for a while though. after ur done use some flexable hold hair spray.

Blot your hair with a towel after washing to get most of the water out. Add mousse and just scrunch. Blow drying will cause your hair to frizz. You can use a diffuser on your blow dryer. It's actually best to just blow dry your bangs with a large round brush, depending on the length, and letting the rest of your hair air dry.

Use a diffuser! I promise you it will help with the scrunching process - and less heat on your hair. Good Luck!
